We harvested 128 lbs. of food in one week: Urban Garden Tour | Nora's Ark

- It's fall in Wisconsin and we are still harvesting a TON of food from our garden. In this video we show you everything we still have growing in our front-yard vegetable garden.
In this video we show you our cucumbers, squash, radishes, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and the grapes we have growing on our fence. We also show you how big our zucchino rampicante squash is! Most of the plants are bigger than me!
We try to grow all of our own food so we can be as self-sufficient as possible. We live in zone 5A in Southern Wisconsin and we live on less than one acre. Our main garden is about 1,000 sq. ft., we have raised beds, and we also grow food on our fence. It's possible to feed your family from your own garden no matter how much space you have.

l really like vegetable growing videos.❤❤❤🎉🎉
Tip for ground cherries. Will Bonsall (author and seed-saving legend) made v-shaped wood-slat supports for his ground cherries to grow on. The fruits then fall down and are more easily collected.
That's a great tip! Might have to try that this year :)
Kudos to you for the relentless pursuit of your creative vision, my friend! Your videos are a reflection of the hard work and passion you infuse into each one. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
9:39 my grandfather passed away the other month, he would always buy these for me as a kid. Thanks for reminding me of him for a bit ❤️
Sorry for your loss. Glad I could remind you of his memory ❤️
Great garden
Thank you for the video. If you do figure out how to dry out the loofah, could you please make a video of it? I would like to grow it next year and my growing zone is just a little ways away from you guys. So I was wondering the same thing. God bless you and your family. Duane.
I will definitely share what I learn! Thanks for watching 😊
Congrats on your harvest! We also had quite a haul of vegetables here in late September and frankly I'm glad that is behind us now and only a few cold tolerant crops remain to be harvested. Now we're focusing on getting our apples picked and processed - freezing, dehydrating, and pressing them for regular and hard cider. Still no frost here in Sheboygan county.
Thank you! That’s awesome! We are jealous as we have planted apple trees but they aren’t old enough to produce yet. Enjoy your cider! 🍎 no frost here yet in Dane county either!
Good video guys! Any videos on preservation and freezing techniques would be helpful too!
Thanks for watching! Great suggestion! Definitely going to make some videos on those topics soon! 😊
