Dr. Glen Almond, WW Shay Award for Industry Distinction

Dr. Glen Almond from the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine is certainly one of the best. In his 35-year-teaching career, he has mentored some of the best swine veterinarians in the country. He has served on the NC Pork Council board of directors and countless national boards and committees. He came to North Carolina when the industry was just getting started and was a resource for the hog production companies that were then just getting started.
Dr. Glen Almond is the recipient of the 2023 NC Pork Council W.W. Shay Award for Industry Distinction.
