@@Onrust1 in the U.K. if you convert a coach or bus as you have done it is classed as a private vehicle so not governed by tacho law. I love what you have done with that thing and great videos👍👍👍
@@Onrust1 So regarding the tacho law what if you were super rich and wanted a custom Rolls Royce that seated more than 11 people. Would it come in the scope of the law or would having the money just smooth the problem? Just a thought.👍👍
11 seats equals bus, equals tacho. Doesn't matter if it says Rolls Royce or - like mine - Neoplan on the outside, and doesn't matter how much money you have in your wallet..
This year, a few months ago during the annual maintenance / checkup, my mechanic got all the axles aligned, and also put the steering wheel straight. Not because I asked him to do so, but because he couldn't stand it too.. 😁😎
No, it's not top-heavy, and that is because the main part of the 16000 kgs is very low in the vehicle. That is more or less a requirement, because there could be some 60 people upstairs, so that adds some weight there..
You said it: in the UK you don't. Over here, you do. In Germany, you don't. I know. And do I know how it is in... fi. Czech Rep.? To make it easy and put an end to any discussion, I just put a disc in. I don't want no discussion in.. France (in French.. 😁) with some police officer about the local laws. I find putting in a chart easy and not that big of a problem, so I put one in. For me it's a no-brainer.
That's easy: because I wanted to convert. It was the process that did it for me, not the owning of a vehicle. I never wanted a camper... Yeah, sounds weird, and now we have it, it grew on us, so we are using it.. More background info in the FAQ: sites.google.com/site/bigbuszz/faq---english
Op trailer of a frame.
I find it very easy to use the tachograph. And because the rules are not in all countries of Europe equal, and I don't want to argue with police officers in whatever country (they TOO need to know that there is no need to use it) I don't think about it any longer and just put a chart in before I go away. For me it is a no-brainer.
D rijbewijs.
In my country there is discussion about that. I tried to figure out, so I read the laws, and I found out that where other countries make exceptions for private trips (it's about the trip, not the vehicle) in my country that exception was never made. So I'm pretty convinced you do need it here. But lots of people think you don't, even officers of the law. Because I find it no big deal to put in one of those discs when I leave, AND I know it prevents me from having some debate in ANY country at all, I just put one in. For me, it's a no-brainer...
*Thanks RON* Awesome 😎👍 ...(still prefer steering my catamaran ("auto", zero gears ;-)) ...and I'm not getting wet - unless I want to ( _which I do sometimes!_ ) 🤣

Marktplaats. In twee partijen, voor ieder 100 euro.
@@Onrust1 bedankt!
Have you think about putting some solar panels on the rooft?
Yes. The answer to that question is here: czcams.com/video/7djK1DJprD8/video.html
If some mug rocked up next to me at the campsite in one of these, I’d be well pissed off.
I’m surprised you need the tacho graph. Is it still registered as a bus?
Yes, because of the 11 seats in it, it is. More about this topic in the FAQ: sites.google.com/site/bigbuszz/faq---english
Man you need a front end alignment pretty bad or your steering wheel is way off center. Either way that would drive me nuts having a wheel that off.
This year, a few months ago during the annual maintenance / checkup, my mechanic got all the axles aligned, and also put the steering wheel straight. Not because I asked him to do so, but because he couldn't stand it too.. 😁😎
Great.
Hi from the UK just wondering what model neoplan is it your using ??
N122 Skyliner. More in the FAQ: sites.google.com/site/bigbuszz/faq---english
Could you explain the circle card you put behind the dash?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachograph 😊
Does it feel top-heavy while driving? From the video it seems to look pretty stable, much more than I would expect in a double decker.
No, it's not top-heavy, and that is because the main part of the 16000 kgs is very low in the vehicle. That is more or less a requirement, because there could be some 60 people upstairs, so that adds some weight there..
If you don't mind me asking how much was the cost of the build?
Cost is in this video: czcams.com/video/7djK1DJprD8/video.html
Get the alignment of steering wheel sorted out!!!!
Why do you use a tacho ? Here in the UK once it’s registered as a motorhome you do not need a tacho
Oh and the bus is no motorhome... it is still a bus..
You could probably get a load of electricity from solar panels with a roof that big
But why did you do such a project when it was enough for you to buy a camper?
That's easy: because I wanted to convert. It was the process that did it for me, not the owning of a vehicle. I never wanted a camper... Yeah, sounds weird, and now we have it, it grew on us, so we are using it..

Did you ever conceder a tow vehicle? This might make day trips more fun
Op trailer of a frame.
Love your buss. But why do you use the card that u fild out? Sins it's a private buss...
I find it very easy to use the tachograph. And because the rules are not in all countries of Europe equal, and I don't want to argue with police officers in whatever country (they TOO need to know that there is no need to use it) I don't think about it any longer and just put a chart in before I go away. For me it is a no-brainer.
@@Onrust1 ok, thanks for reply. Drive safe..😊😊
why did you fill out the tachograph?
The tacho-issue is complicated and the answer in the FAQ: sites.google.com/site/bigbuszz/faq---english
At last 😊👍
Do you need to fill in a tacho for a private vehicle?
What if it rains? 😊
What was the graph you filled out that went into the instrument panel?
You're not the first to ask:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachograph 😊
(Funny that something so common over here, is unknown in other parts of the world.. 🙂)
@@Onrust1 I'm a commercial truck driver in America, we now have electronic driver logs that track your hours of operation, time and location, just the first time I had seen any thing like that on a motor home camper
@@Onrust1 Super bedankt!
What is the chart thing inserted in the dash?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachograph 😊
@@Onrust1 Mind blown! In the USA drivers kept "log books" for years. Now it's a digital system. Thanks for the link, all new to me.
And what is the KM/L or MPG for this bus?
That is in the FAQ: sites.google.com/site/bigbuszz/faq---english
2:32 Face reveal!
It might seem that way, but I have no problem with that. 😊
Is that an EPS gearbox?
I don't know. What's that?
Do you have problems to get a campsite? I think not every campground is willing to allow such big and mostly heavy "camper". 🤔😁
'Not willing' is never the problem in my experience. They all like it. It just sometimes doesn't fit. And I do some research upfront on that...
