Hey, this animation was part of a collaboration where a total of 52 individuals animated the MA5 rifle from Halo series.

I don't know if it's a joke or not but it's rather basic, like HUDs in basically every videogame to ever exist. Having floating guns in FPS games would be weird. Also, I don't think the whole gaming industry would crash down in flames without FPS arms, we would play with Rayman as the main character but that's about it.

Pretty sure the MA5 is gas operated, but it does indeed have the G3-style charging handle, as well as being in 7.62mm NATO. It's basically the result of an F2000 and G3 loving each other very much, which is fine by me as they're two of my favourites. :D
What is the difference between that and other usually seen?
@@WindowsDoor They probably refer to how G3 rifle and MP5 instruction booklet specifically states that you need to release the charging handle with a "movie slap". With the intention to secure the bolt moves on its own force into the locked position. G3 and MP5 being roller delayed systems.
@@wryyyyHow you're supposed to do the "HK slap" depends upon whether you're following military drills or reading the manual. Which is weird since you'd think they'd agree on the best way to do that.
iirc the manual says to use your fist to slap it down, some orgs say to pull it down, some orgs say to use your palm
It's gas operated, actually. It just has a charging handle and bolt that can be locked back like on HK's roller delayed blowback weapons.

glass cannon kinda character, if you can get to your ult and fire the ring it's game over for everyone, but it takes a lot of effort to stop the FPV arm rig to reload twice and counter you

ultrakill fans should know that all the enemies see in that game is just a white pill shaped capsule that occasionally sprouts arms and guns
edit: and technically, because of how cameras in video games work, they have layer masking, AKA the enemies only see what they need to see. this means that they don't even see the arms or guns. just a capsule killing them somehow for no reason.
@@pread Some enemies don't even see a capsule. In some games, all they see are values telling them where the other enemy is and if they have direct line of sight with the enemy. At that point, they basically only see a pixel that is white if they can look at the enemy, and black if they cannot.

I love the mash-up of the Halo 3 assault rifle with Halo Reach firing sounds and Halo CE reload sounds and animation style. Masterful work.

The mp5 slap is one of if not the most iconic thing about guns in general

I feel like modern games are all about better graphics, better effects, bigger maps, but forget the real charm: a personality, vibes, or something to remember the game by.
