- Welcome to the PINKEST restaurant you'll ever see, The Laughing Buddha in Westlands, Nairobi. This is a new vegetarian restaurant and let me tell you, after trying almost half the menu, the food is delicious.
This family run Café located on the first floor of the Kenrail Towers was design by a passionate dad and his creative young daughter. From the pink wall perfect for some cool Instagram photos to the menu which has everything from Indian street food to pizza and amazing dessert from Pia Papa, their own bakery!
If you only try one thing on the menu, it has to be the Paneer bao buns or if you are more on sweet side then go for the sizzling brownie!!!

Nothing authentic, all fusion and for the hipsters but it seems tasty. Btw the "bao bun" bread is a Taiwanese gua bao (bao means already bun/bread).
They are not claiming to be an authentic Indian food spot tho.

We ate WAAAY too much lol!
After watching this video, I visited this place. Unfortunately my experience was totally different and I am unlikely to revisit this place. I ordered some of the same food as you and it looked way more appealing in the video. But that's okay as tastes can be very personal. I was just unhappy with the service. Orders were mixed up twice, and desserts were brought in before everyone was even served their main food. And it wasn't the kind of dessert that could wait...the sizzling brownie.
To make it worse, the server tells us that she will personally have to pay for the mistakes made on our order, which is very awkward and a dilemma.
I hope ours is just a one off experience we had that is the totally opposite of this video and not that the video is a one off experience.
I don't like making these comments but today was too upsetting.
