    Stripey Grass is just when you mow in two different directions back and forth. Grass actually has a direction to it and the “grain”always goes in the same direction, so when you mow in the opposite direction it shows a different shade because it’s against the grain. Fun Fact: the same theory is with carpet when you vacuum or run your hand on it. The opposite directions will show an opposite grain aka color shade. 🤪

    Hi Dee and Jay, I don't cruise but I watch every one of your videos because your relationship with each other is so inspirational. I love y'all.

    SO glad that you at least saw some of the Cabot Trail. It's one of the most beautiful drives in Canada and nostalgic for me. My mother grew up in Sydney and my dad was born in Ingonish and spent many a day at Ingonish Beach. Great video and 'pictures by Dee' as always. Thank you for bringing a piece of Canada to your amazing adventures.

    Ahh man Dee I hate you didn’t get to have the good one. It was a popular one evidentially because I had two appetizer portions, it was AMAZING!

    First you were in my home town and now you are in the town I live in.
    If you ever get back i definitely reiterate you need to do the Fortress of Louisburg. For hiking you needed more time, there are numerous trails in the Park and a Gondola, but the most popular is the Skyline Trail...between travel time and hiking you would've needed a later departure.
    For puffins, you can see them in Cape Breton, however the best place to have guarantee sightings is if you sail into St. John's, Newfoundland. There are boat tours that will take you out to the bird sanctuary, or you can drive to a place about 90 minutes away where they nest. In either situation the peak time to see them is May-August, that's their breeding season.

    There is so much to see and do in Cape Breton . Go to Fortress Louisburg or Baddeck and Graham Bell exhibit or Miners Museum. As a Nova Scotian our province is so pretty

    If you return to Sydney, check out the Louisbourg Fort, lighthouse and scenic drive in East Cape Breton.

    A lovely tour. It would be great for those of us who are older, and may have physical limits. It would enable us to see a lot more at a slower pace. Loved the theater show! Great dancers and fab music!

    Hi Jay as far as the amaretto cake, you really got ripped off. I went back and looked at my cruise pics and my cake came with a ramekin of a caramel looking sauce and vanilla ice cream. Reliving this cruise adventure along with your videos.

    The Stripey grass is made by lawn mowers. In some cases, like baseball stadiums and golf courses, they have brush ma Hines that do it.

    The orange and yellow flower is an Iris, there are so many varieties, in TN where I grew up they were often purple!

  • @sherridbt2839
    @sherridbt2839 Před 10 měsíci

    The yellow red flower is a day lily, white tiny petals are phlox, the bush with berry like things is salt spray rose.

    In Australia that orange and yellow is called a lily, purple round fuzzy,is a thistle, white round single petals is a daisy, the red fruit could be raspberry, the purple tiny clump petals is a hydrangeas, that pink/fushia colour? HOPE this helps with the flowers.👋💕🇦🇺

    we were on the next sailing, the dining room service was so slow.... It appeared they were under staffed. We also noticed the quality of the food was not as good as usual.

    I am thinking that Momma Jay may knows how to make stripey grass when she’s mowing. It might be grown out when you are home.

      The MDR doesn’t impress in this video. Messy plates, little presentation, undercooked food, and table cloths are gone again! Thanks for telling it like it is. So many gloss over issues that are even obvious to us viewers.
