A harvest moon game did that, asked if you're ready to run a farm.
If you say no... Congratulations, you now have to sit through the unskippable cutscene and click through dialogue for about 10 minutes.... again.
Super Paper Mario did that too. It was quite literally a "Will you help save the world?" question which you could actually say no to. Immediate Game Over if you do.

Which is funny because being violently ill often results in creating a lot of viral content.
This feels like a game based on CZcams Rewind OR what a YT Marketing/PR Rep thinks the site is. I have made it halfway through the video and I've had 3 or 4 violent outbursts.

I also started watching Alex Steele thanks to Tom Scott's new channel. BTW TS Plus is amazing. It's just Tom Scott trying out random stuff like blacksmithing, cave diving, singing, acting, and getting flown around in a stunt plane. That last one also features Jay Foreman.
That video confirmed my fears of cave diving.
I think there's a level of sarcasm meant here. It's not totally sarcastic, it's still trying to genuinely be a tycoon game, but I remember the original CZcamsr's Life blew up in a "let's make fun of the silly stupid game" way, and they've sort of tried to lean into that in the most cynical way possible.

Forrest has been called out, and I love it.
So if the youtuber city in this game is entirely populated by youtubers, I have a question: who does all the other jobs a city actually needs? Are they just corralling all the youtubers so they starve to death?
If not that, then do the people who invited you to live there own the entire city? Does it run like some sort of theme park where the non-youtubers are unseen/shoved aside in the background? How does this city actually work?
Clearly the restaurants are run by foodtubers, the hospital is staffed with those medical doctor youtubers, the local law firm is run by LegalEagle, and the trash is collected by an order of sanitation worker-tubers.
I think it's a Truman show type situation.

If I was designing this game, I would have pulled a bait and switch and make CZcamsr city actually in hell and the obviously shady guy Satan, who you've just signed a 100 contract with, forcing you to make viral videos or forfeit your soul.
Goal of the game: Make the viral videos as the devil commands, but try to funnel people into subscribing. If enough people know about you and your plight, eventually one of them will die and let heaven know what's going on.
Ahhh the intro is more and more reminding me of how they announce the names in University Challenge 🤣
To be fair, I feel like this game is giving semi-reliable strategies to actually be successful on CZcams at the start. It’s just that anyone who would follow them to the letter are pricks.

I get the idea this is going for but it basicly thinks everyone who starts on youtube wants to be pewdiepie and honestly that just isn’t the case i prefer smaller you tubers who just do things they care about rather than trying to follow trends and beg for subs and likes. I once said it years ago subs and views don’t always mean quality often the best videos on youtube are the ones most people overlook cus they are too buissy watching markaplier play fnaf or whatever
