  • Notes from today's quick ride: First, the scooter will go much faster but I'm limited to where I can actually go fast. As you can see, it's not a straight climb and the drainage dips make for some interesting squirrely moments.
    The WEPED Sonic this past week on their website, broke the 100mph barrier. They went 101mph documented. It's hard to do that in the U.S. as we aren't allowed to really ride this on the highway like they do in Korea. It would be fun to take this to a track and let it rip. But for me, I know it could go 100mph and that's all that matters - knowing it can, not that I would :)

    This looks like a death trap, i would be too scared to ride that thing lol. I heard it goes almost a hundred miles per hour, this beaat is crazzy.

      It's extremely fast and I had it doing 75mph up a mountain road. 100mph is every bit doable but you would need a straightaway and empty rode to try it and I don't have that in L.A.

    Hi Mr Lou! What an engineering masterpiece! May I ask where you bought your Weped Sonic from?

    • @MrLou345
      @MrLou345  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Thank you. I bought it directly from WEPED's website in Korea.

    What app is that you use to put the speed elevation and altitude and distance on the camera

      The GPS is part of the gopro 7 that I have. You can turn it on or off and it records a bunch of things, not just speed.

      No, it's an early morning ride and that's why I like it because no one is around :)

    How long you waited for it to shipped?

    • @MrLou345
      @MrLou345  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Shipping is quick via FedEx, however, going through U.S. customs takes about 4 or 5 days on top of the shipping, so from the day it ships from Korea, until you get it in the U.S. is about 2 weeks.

      @@MrLou345 Does Weped include the cost of duty and taxes and prepays it for you?

    • @MrLou345
      @MrLou345  Před 11 měsíci +3

      @@eltmh4589 No, they don't. I only had to pay the customs duty of $55. which is cheap. There were no taxes due and FedEx is the one who bills you for the customs tax once you get the scooter. It was like a week later or close to it.

      @@MrLou345I was so intrigued by your comment on a video. I’m currently looking for a scooter with amazing range. Could you recommend me a few including the one you currently have?

      @@aidanscracked831 Thank you for your comments. I've owned probably 12 scooters before getting the 2 WEPEDS. It all comes down to how much money you want to spend. IF money is no object, then WEPED Sonic like the one I have gives you 2 top bragging rights, which are the fastest scooter in the world, and with the highest range possible of any scooter on the market. If money is a concern, then there are countless Chinese brands available which are just OK.

    WEPED Sonic is useless in Australia because you can't ride at high speed on the road.
