I mean Finn at the end of the day loved his family. He hated them for what they did but at the end loved them. Like Hope with Elijah.
I feel like klaus and Hayley would both hate the way she is being taught at the school, like being who she is should be a secret and that she’s some great evil everyone is waiting to turn evil like klaus. They are trying to make her something she’s not and act as though she is not who she is, they are denying her blood.
I disagree. I feel like the school-in particular Alaric-is teaching her how to accept who she is and hone all her skills without letting the Mikaleson's darkness overtake her.
they aren’t denying her blood, they just don’t want her to loose control like klaus and the other originals have done. Alaric tries his hardest but it is difficult as he obviously has never dealt with a teenage tribrid before who is learning to open up to other people. I believe the school is perfect for her i mean in the last episode she literally said she’s gotten friends and has only realised that they were her friends because she stopped beating herself up about her father and mothers death, that would’ve never happened if she hadn’t gone to the school and met her friends

Whatever Alaric might think about Klaus, He can't stop her from loving her own father. No matter how evil he could be in the past, he was the best of the fathers and he did love her more than anything.
He wasn't trying to but he didn't want her to go down that dark path Klaus wouldn't either..
Kol, Rebekah and Freya are still alive yet the show treats them as if there Dead too. There characters wouldn't let Hope be this alone especially Freya who basically raised Hope with Hayley and Rebekah who protected Hope. Julie Plec treats the Mikaelsons awfully TBH its like she only knows how to do high school drama and not include in depth character and family drama. Freya would of become a teacher at the school imho and Rebekah maybe a bodyguard or helping Caroline (since Beks is still an Original Vamp)
Neo Android I understand where you're coming from but Legacies is NOT about the Mikaelson. It's about the Salvatore school and the supernatural kids. In the last episode of the Originals Hope said to Klaus that she will go back to school and now she is back in Mystic Falls. Its been 2 years since the ending of the Originals and I bet that Freya, Kol & Rebekah have all visited her in this time. Julie Plec said that Rebekah is happy with Marcel at the moment and Kol & Freya have their own lives too. I miss all of them badly but they are probably not gonna be in Legacies and we have to accept it.

cookies the cure wasn't even ready for her. Also it goes against there own established lore, since if Rebekah took the cure then she would have to drink it from Elena or Damons body totally. It's such a stupid plot device, since yes Rebekah is with Marcel ATM but with No Klaus, Elijah or Hayley her character would of taken over as basically primary guardian with Freya. Unless Rebekah became a witch when she takes the cure then she leaves herself defenceless when her and Marcel still have many enemies

Every time I think about Hope losing both her parents, dying for her, I break.
Her story is so sad... and i don't know, so beautiful. Being villains, monsters, killers, the Mikaelsons had an amazing bond which was never broken, despite all the ups and downs. And it all ended with her, with Hope. She's the symbol I think... and she is just a kid and she suffered so much. This video is really beautiful. She has a hole in her heart which won't go away, but Klaus and Hayley, and the others will always be with her.
At the beginning I didn't like the actress, i didn't think she was the right fit for Hope, but... now she is growing on me. She got more in the character, explored it more, and I like her now. And I see a lot of Klaus in her which is.. nice. Good job!

Well yeah but he made a lot of mistakes too and terrorized so many people. Alaric is just trying to help her to be better than her parents so she won't commit the same mistakes they did.

Klaus had centuries of blood on his hands due in great part to his anger and paranoia. He didn’t want that for Hope. In fact, he named her Hope because he wanted better for her. Alaric’s words, as harsh as they may have seemed, was just a reminder of that.
klaus was also a vengeful monster he didnt critic his parenting he criticized his character
But Alaric always saw him as the villain.. because in vampire diaries he had no mercy on them he also killed his girlfriend Jenna..so Alaric has a reason not to like him and he is just trying to help hope.
Have you ever watched the vampires diaries go watch it from season 2 to the end of season 3 and then you'll figure out why alaric said that to hope!!! This is your father...this can't be you🤔🤔🤔

I can tell she misses her parents soo much! Shes delicate and fierce and beautiful just like her mother
And she has the hint of devil and temper from her father
Shes lost alot, and she deserved better.. but they died to protect her. And thats what's family about.

And as she promised, im counting on her to carry the name 'Mikaelson' and do it right by it.
And carry on the vow of 'Always and forever'

I'm sure Klaus would've felt threatened by the relationship between Hope and Alaric. However, in many ways, he is helping to raise and shape her into the person both Klaus and Hayley hoped she'd be.

Well if Klaus were still there, I'm pretty the dynamic between Alaric and Hope will be totally different as hope we still have a father and wouldn't have been need it a father figure in Alaric
Isn't it funny how they always hated Klaus but with klaus's daughter in town Alaric is really overprotective as if she was his real daughter and how they all welcome to her to the school and when Alaric met hope he wanted her to come to the school immediately in the originals

Yeah, he wants to ensure that hope doesn't turn out like Klaus. However, I also think that in a way he's scared of what she's capable of. She is the most unique and powerful person at that school and given all she's been through and lost. It's more likely for her to lose herself and give in to the darkness.

Well 7 year old hope had a kindness and innocence to her that was infectious. She was strong and determined, but also sweet. Alaric saw that in her. He saw a bright child with a lot of love to give. Also Alaric is a bit of a sap when it comes to kids with difficult family dynamics :P

What Alaric said to Hope wasn´t nice and fair. Klaus did for Hope everything what he can. I understand that Alaric doesn´t like Klaus, but what he said was so stupid and callously
. Hope is just a kid and she lost so much and she loved and still love her family, even her death dad. So nobody and in particular kids wouldn´t hear something bad about their loved ones.

Nice work here! Good music that flowed well with the clips and message of the character. I think Danielle Rose Russell is really growing into the role and doing better and better. Love the sentimental Klaus element in this too...Joseph Morgan gave one of the all time greatest performances I've seen and Klaus is one of if not my all time favorite character in any show.

The vampire diaries universe has so many characters in it, but I think Hope is my favorite. She’s a flawed character who has suffered from loss, but is beautiful despite it all. Although this is in a world where the supernatural exist, Hope is a very raw and real character. I think a lot of people can relate to her because of her story and who she is. Closing yourself off to everyone around you and locking your heart up is a defense mechanism that is easy to activate. Everybody has experienced loss in different ways, whether it be death or having someone you love walk out of your life. It’s easy to feel lonely, when you have friends and family with you. Hope is afraid of losing people, but throughout Legacies she allows herself to love and be loved, and I think a lot of this is due to Landon challenging her to learn to trust and open up. Hope is almost a symbol of the Mikaelson family; she is flawed and broken, but is strong, courageous, and loyal to those she loves. She is a very complex character, with many layers. The writers have done a great job at making her the perfect blend of Klaus and Hayley, while also making her her own person.

Probably for the same reason Disney couldnt market the movie Enchanted the way they intended. Amy Adams didn’t want to sign away her likeness without compensation. Disney refused so she didn’t give them permission to use her face for anything past the movie poster/dvd cover.
So if Phoebe wanted compensation and they wouldn’t give it then i she would then be photoshopped from the photo.

Bloodee Jacob actors are separate from their characters. Sure Hayley would want her to have a photo but Phoebe may not. Also it’s a equal case that it’s more about content control then money. Sign away your likeness and then they can use any image or video however they want without having to ask permission. So that’s another reason why.

At the originals she was more of a badassand powerful but at legacies she is more like a sweet but a powerful woman
I know a lot of people hate what Alaric said to Hope, but I honestly think she needed to hear it. Klaus was a great father who loved Hope with his whole heart, but he was a deeply tormented and broken man. And that’s exactly what he didn’t want for Hope, and Ric knows that. He gave Hope a little tough love in a moment when she needed it. And I truly believe Klaus would’ve said the same thing to her had he been there. He wants Hope to be everything he wasn’t.
I live in the uk so I haven’t seen legacies but it made me cry with Stefan’s journals

Every time I watch a "Vampire Diaries" or "The Originals" or "Legacies" edit it make me cry
When I first watched Legacies I was a little bit disappionted because of the story but when you look deep and you understand Hope's feeling it really shows that she is a truly a Mikaelson. Legacies have still a long way to go and I hope Klaus would appear in whatever form he would but I would love to see him when he is angry when Hope is in danger.
