Literally my reaction when I heard this, like this was as bad as the ending to a comedy (granted it was a comedy) zombie movie where a kid threw an infected arm into the water for a fish to become infected
He babied the zombies though. They learned to use blasters so they could've had zombies shooting at them as well. Zombies even used a ship cannon after seeing someone use it so the in and out wouldn't be so easy. It wouldn't have been easy to go for the head with clones wearing helmets, nor would they know to go for the head.
Death Troopers storyline could easily fit into any era of SW and still be just as terrifying. Loved how Lucasfilm used to allow authors artistic freedoms to include characters we all know like Han and Chewy. Not too dissimilar from the “What If”stories on CZcams tofay

This was an exceptional story! One aspect I really enjoyed was the consistency of the zombie infection rate. So many zombie movies and stories are inconsistent with how long it takes to transform. Sometimes they take seconds and sometimes they take hours, I'm forgiving of this if its an arm bite or somewhere on the lower body but that rule is hardly ever followed to completion. Anyway, I really liked the more tactical focus in this story. Way too often in zombie media the military response is portrayed as either stupid or cruel and usually worse than the undead themselves, so seeing squads of clones think smarter is a refreshing sight. Final thoughts, I thought of the zombie story "All of Us Are Dead" multiple times throughout the story, and I personally loved that series so that is a definite plus. 10/10 would watch again
To be fair not all human bodies are equal and the same (despite what some unathletic butthurt people might say), so it makes sense for some people to take longer or be outright immune against some really strong viruses

When I saw this thumbnail, I researched on what blackwing virus, it's history, treatment and symptoms. Scary and interesting story. What if obi wan was framed for the Jedi temple bombing? What if obi wan was Count dooku's son?
Well.... that was one really (in a great manned) tense story, even tho I am not a huge horror/zombie fan, truth be told. Great to see Delta Squad going all out on Kamino, which honestly was a really great moment. That scene had me on the edge if my seat. My lobbying continues ;D What if Anakin had been trained by A'Sharad Hett? What if Oppo Rancisis had trained Asajj Ventress? What if Yarael Poof had investigated the mystery around Kamino? What if Hondo had been hired as the smuggler by Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker?
We need a video game like this... Star Wars Blackwing Outbreak as a survival star wars game would be incredibly entertaining, even if it was only 2-3 hours long.
As a fan of Death Troopers the book. This was an interesting story and would be a good reasoning as to how the Empire managed to have the virus in the first place so easily. Yeah I liked how no Jedi got involved as I imagine the Council knew something bad was happening at Kamino but were not allowed to go there. Also the Blackwing virus is back in canon thanks to a mobile game which had a mission involving Blackwing and the Death Troopers (renamed Undead Troopers now)

That was a really good little story. Going off of the Death Troopers and Red Harvest books, this is definitely accurate to at least how it would start. Great job with this, loved every second of it.
One of the reasons Obi Wan pushed himself harder than most all of his peers is because of his low midichlorian count he was almost placed in the agriculture corp and was saved by his sheer determination and Qui Gon
This was more of a fun story, but also made a big statement about man made contagions like contagion 19 which was genetically modified and got loose. It would not have made sense to to have the Jedi to play a big role in this story, so I'm glad you didn't focus on that as it would have felt forced into the story. I liked the wrap up and how it effected the clone wars. Maybe for next Halloween you can do some kind of Dathomir force beast or a Star Wars version of Dracula, but instead of blood having a thirst for Midichlorians and the force where the higher the Midichlorian count or the stronger one is with the force the bigger a target they are for this force sucking creature, that could even be used to make the Jedi and Sith collaborate to stop it.
This is one of your best stories ever ! Could you do another version of it where the black wing virus isn’t stopped and perhaps everyone or mostly everyone in the galaxy is either dead or infected ? I love seeing bad endings sometimes
At least when Sepratist forces attacked Kamino, the clones knew how to respond. Yes, they took heavy casualties (RIP 99) but they did manage to force the droid army to leave the planet in the end. The BlackWing virus on the other hand…. the clones really didn’t know who was infected and who wasn’t. Many of them, including young children, saw their brothers get eaten alive right in front of them. Death by blaster bolt is bad, but it’s usually over pretty quickly. It certainly beats becoming a zombie.
What if Anakin had visions of order 66 instead of padme dying of childbirth? What if Anakin went undercover instead of obi wan? What if order 66 was executed when Anakin was with the bad batch?

The zombie would have been far worse on kamino because the zombies from the plague would have kept everything running but make it so it’s fortified for the infected and the second the first clone was spotted the entire installation would have known because if we are using the one that is from the old game where we see them on more than a star destroyer scale showed them keeping some of their intelligence like the collision you had the zombies would of attempted to turn the ship towards the planet corrusont and sent distress beacons you know pretend that everything’s fine till they are planet side

I actually have a clone wars era black wing virus story but it takes place in my fanfic and soon to be series The Adventures of Hody. The virus was discovered in the unknown region by a clone legion tasked with exploring far reaches of the galaxy.
Now that’s actually a good question lol. Instead of darth drear creating the virus for immortality and then failed by turning into one and darth scaborous trying to suceed drear’s plans, the kamino scientists were the ones who created it as a bioweapon like the empire did while drear didnt create as a bio weapon

An outbreak on coruscant would be the worst thing possible. There's no way it could be stopped with the amount of levels and people on that planet. Coruscant would become a center of gore and horror, that's for sure

I think in the Star wars video about the blackwing virus in the clone wars is that the last 10 clone troopers that were in Camino that started the explosions managed to escape outside but there is a 50-50 chance that's some of them or half of them got out and one of the members of Delta squad did something good warned some of the clone troopers

The zombie would have been far worse on kamino because the zombies from the plague would have kept everything running but make it so it’s fortified for the infected and the second the first clone was spotted the entire installation would have known because if we are using the one that is from the old game where we see them on more than a star destroyer scale showed them keeping some of their intelligence like the collision you had the zombies would of attempted to turn the ship towards the planet corrusont and sent distress beacons you know pretend that everything’s fine till they are planet side

I actually have a clone wars era black wing virus story but it takes place in my fanfic and soon to be series The Adventures of Hody. The virus was discovered in the unknown region by a clone legion tasked with exploring far reaches of the galaxy.
Now that’s actually a good question lol. Instead of darth drear creating the virus for immortality and then failed by turning into one and darth scaborous trying to suceed drear’s plans, the kamino scientists were the ones who created it as a bioweapon like the empire did while drear didnt create as a bio weapon

In my opinion it could of been scarier if you had and explained how. Jedi Master Shaak Ti, attack those 10 clone troopers, and how to took the out so easily. Which would of boost the horror factor. Even if she was after the Elitle Squad during their escape.

I think in the Star wars video about the blackwing virus in the clone wars is that the last 10 clone troopers that were in Camino that started the explosions managed to escape outside but there is a 50-50 chance that's some of them or half of them got out and one of the members of Delta squad did something good warned some of the clone troopers
