    Never mind a few 'wrong notes', this is a tremendously FIERY performance that gets the idea of the piece perfectly right.

    It's a pretty big compromise with all the 2 hands tremolos but I still prefer this fiery version 🔥😍🔥

    This was part of a documentary made after Horowitz’ death with commentary by Wanda. Does anybody know where this is available for purchase??

      the docu is called Vladimir Horowitz, A Reminiscence (or something like that), and is available on medici.tv or as part of the DVD box "Vladimir Horowitz: The Video Collection"

      Piggy backing off of Edgar, I think Horowitz was referring to the atomic bomb, which many people believed would usher in the end of the world after WW2 and during the Cold War (which is when this documentary was filmed).
      Although you most likely figured this all out within the last 3-5 years :)
