Has anyone try using 30 lb .45mm mono with a Abu Garcia c3 6500 ? Does it cast well or is it just to heavy of a line.

I use 30 lb when I’m using mono, no problem, don’t know if anybody uses much more than that, try some Suffix 80 braid, it casts very good, no stretch

That's why I use braid. I don't want my line to sink. Use braid and u don't need the straw.
