Jones is the only Dman quick enough to skate the puck out of the zone. The other guys just throw it up the boards for a turnover. Maybe he should play.

Jones is great and should be playing all playoffs. Fox is beyond slow and agree they just throw it up the boards or try to flip it out. But the forwards also need to back check harder and get lower into the D zone to make outlet passes easier for the D men
I’d love to see jones in place of fox. Take Trouba away from miller Miller is better without him. Drop Trouba to third pair or sit him

@@michaelmarro1011 Miller and Schneider are an effective pairing but that means having a liability with Gus and Trouba together. I could possibly see putting Jones in over Gus, but while Jones had a good stretch while Trouba was out, he was really bad last season.
I have not read the comments here yet, but I thought the garden crowd last night was pathetic. I attended game 4 in Carolina as I now live in Charlotte, and that place blew the roof off for 3 hours straight. You could here a pin drop in that place for 2 hours last night. C'mon NY do better. Let's give the boys in blue some support.
It was an absolute joke. I was trying to get some chants going and getting the crowd into it and no bite, mfs paid $850 to sit on their hands and swipe on tinder.Absolute disgrace
The rangers literally gave NOTHING to cheer about. They had no good chances besides two breakaways. They’ve been awful lately , they got lucky in NC, that’s not gonna happen against this Florida team.
@@nickcds3419 Awful is a little strong. I also agree the Rangers didn't give fans much to cheer about HOWEVER the fans can help support and ignite a team. Carolina fan's were rabid when the Canes were flying and when the Canes were down. They were truly a 6th man on ice. The garden was utterly disappointing in that regard.

@@nickcds3419 Born and raised in NY (now live south) and while I'm 50 now, been to many many games in MSG both Knicks and Rangers. The place was insane during the 90's. Ranger fans need to bring it back like the Knick fans have!

He’s big for the garden crowd. The garden crowd will go crazy for the Knicks but won’t try and give the team energy when the team isn’t showing anything.
Garden for rangers games only responds when the team plays well and never supports when they’re struggling.
Rempe… they’ll chant Rempe just cause he’s on the ice which is how it should be.
Really wish we could be like European fans and have singing and noise the entire game but it’s not American culture.

Rempe causes others to release the puck immediately to avoid being hit from him. That leads to sloppy play from opposite team. Rempe wins board battles. MSG loves Rempe. Makes more sense than putting Chytil through rehab games at the moment. Chytil is avoiding hits and more worried about that than puck control. Wake up and put Rempe in!!!!
Hey Pete you guys better pick it up because you are trending downward, in the last 3 games aside from Kreiders 3rd period hat trick the Rangers have done nothing in 8 of the last 9 periods over a 3 game span, just awful 1 goal scored in the last 2 home games.

Get Chytil out of the lineup now, he is not physical at all, he is providing nothing in this series, get Rempe or someone else in there who can provide a spark physically

The Panthers were more Physical than the Rangers . They play a heavy game. Tkachuk set the tone for there team. We need that Friday in the First Shift. Someone needs to step up and deliver a clean hard hit against a Panther . Need quick passes out of our zone. I expect a Different Rangers Team. LGR!!!!

I don’t think they were outplayed last night. They had plenty of chances but couldn’t bury em. Bob was good but the post was even better.

@@sharkgrayc7z06corvette9 Rangers were out played and yet they were in it all night that's what give me confidence. Florida's forecheck kept the puck in our zone all night, no question. They limited our good looks for a vast majority of the game. Hell we went 14m.5 minutes without a shot. They were much more physical early (we picked it up there) and they were quicker out of the gates. Our turnovers were a liability and our passing was sloppy. Let's be honest the better team won that game last night. Let's clean it up game 2.

Ranger Fans do not count this team out. It would be fantastic if they ran through the playoffs and crushed everybody, but that’s not reality especially in the NHL. I believe in this team, I believe in our coaches. Last night was frustrating. Fact of the matter is a couple of bounces and that game goes the other way. Wenberg to 🙃me looks useless That guy would need an empty net to score. Igor definitely did not have his best game. I know he fancy’s himself in an elite puck handler, but I don’t like it.Go Rangers!

Not to nit pick, they need better control, also they have been in there zone to long. Hopefully the physicality picks up, but better days ahead
I hope they worked on beating the forcheck because that was their biggest flaw.

In terms of how they play. This isn't about changing a 4th line player
Changes just need to be their approach and not get stuck defensively in their zone so much. It wasn’t like Game 5 vs Carolina where they gave up and looked gassed. Game was so close the whole time and chances were missed. Too many changes made for game 2 will cause panic and ruin what the team’s had, you’re overreacting to an otherwise close game in my opinion.
@@Inkwelder I'm not over reacting. They've lost 3 of the last 4 games. They were outplayed in 2 of the three periods in their win. Things are not clicking offensively and they're spending too much time in their own zone. They're often too content to shovel the puck out of the zone rather than work for a zone exit and transition to offense. I'm not saying that they need to put Rempe in or bench anyone, but adjustments need to be made.
Our defense is bad. And the fowards are way to soft for playoff hockey

Peter, please remove Filip and try Jones in fox's spot . Fox is hurt and clearly unable to perform, and cats are going after him. Also I get rempe don't play much but at least he'll defend the team. Cannot play nice vs a dirty coached team
Fox has looked terrible most of the playoffs but last night he looked like a guy who ran the NYC marathon, how can he be so tired after 6 days off? if he is hurt then Pete needs to get him out of the lineup because he looks lost out there and slow
