As much as people shit on Tekken 7's graphics. we can't deny, without 7's Absolute success we wouldn't have tekken 8 both on graphics and gameplay
Yea Tekken was on life support after the mid 7th generation. (I think tag 2 is great though)
Tekken 7 was successful because Bamco supported it for its entire lifecycle. They had to. Tekken Tag 2 utterly flopped and it's the primary reason the entire series was in jeopardy of being cancelled.

Comparing T6 with Tag2 you see a graphical leap, which its not seen with Tag2 for T7. But now from T7 to T8, what an absurd difference
Considering tekken tag tournament 2 is the worst selling tekken franchise, i think it made sense, they just don't have the budget to upgrade the graphics

One of the many things I love about Tekken 8 is the new voices done/added rather than completely reusing all of the old ones. Some haven't had it in the longest like Jin & Kazuya ever since T4 (2001 in arcades or 2002 in consoles).

Tekken 7 is 2015 of a beginning of a great graphic designs and later when tekken 8 release becomes the real evolution of improvement at the last time!I like both but 8 just has this great balance shading along camera angles focus well now.Along this time balancing the fighting so that everything is fair even if some charatcers powerful move were nerfed now.Hope they continue too adapt it for the better now.

Only comparing it to Tekken 8 you can tell how yellow Tekken 7 really is. The colors were really off for some reason.
Tekken 7 was on a significanly lower budget due to tag 2 flopping hard

Tekken 7 didn't age gracefully but it looked good for 2017. Really glad they were able to step it up for 8, I think it'll still look good years on.
