Today I passed you on the street and my heart fell at your feet.. I can't help it if I'm still in love with you.,, WOW..powerful lyrics. I just love Hank Williams
Anita's voice is just absolutely beautiful, It always stands out on every recording. She really looks gorgeous as well..I bet they didnt even fathom us watching 60 years later on "You Tube"--fantastic!
Anyone notice the look of awe in her eyes when she sees him walk on stage you cant fake that...I WISH he was around so he could've sung with Johnny and June and Merle...that would have been a great treat!
You can tell there is something between those two. Just look at 'em. Their totally ignoring the camera and the audience and just singing to each other. And their harmony is perfect. It just doesn't get any better than that.
This is one of the most romantic songs ever written, and this performance is truly breathtaking. I've got a CD of Hank performing this song without Anita Carter, but their duet is SO much better!!
I just love watching them singing! so sweet and loving ....Anita was like the girl-next-door so shy looking but Hank kept his cool ! I think they both made a special pair!!
I loved this. I love reading about their lives and I am so thankful for You Tube. I bet they would be surprised to know people all around can sit at home and see and hear this.
the music of the angels. I suppose falling in love with her made too damn much sense. One of the best things I've ever heard. Man, Anita Carter, I had no idea.
Anita carter was a beautiful woman. And Hank Sr was a pure genius. I think Hank he knew how to reach a woman heart. R.I.P. Hank Sr and Anita carter 🎶🎵😪
Anita Carter....how many people can say they sat next to Hank Williams and sang one of his classic songs with him. She was beautiful with a beautiful voice. Ran chills though me listening to her voice sing the first verse of that song.
Anita was so beautiful and the way she looked at Hank is so touching. We have remember she was already married to Dale Potter since 1950 and this show was broadcast in 1952. But how could mere mortals not be charmed away by her beauty and her angelic voice. Even the great Hank Williams was smitten.
One last thing. IT was Anita who had the perfect woman's beauty but her sister June had that wide smile that lit up her face. Now who would I rather look at?
Seldom one can hear two voices that sounds so awesome together. It's a pity that as far as I know there are not much recorded with these nice giants in country music singing a duet.
Amazing. In grainy black and white, tinny sound system, wretched positioning... Hank and Anita melt my heart! What a song, what class. What happened to that music industry? With all that they've improved technologically there's nothing to compare to a Hank Williams melody and sky-high, tear-jerking lyrics. Thus went Hank and his sort, so went this dying, godless country.
Now this here is a little slice of perfect! Dear Anita in the full flower of her voice -- yes, and her beauty -- and brother Hank, full on, during the best part of his career. How lucky we are that they performed this together, that it was captured, that it was kept, and that HotRocker41 posted it! Thanks! Oh, and how 'bout brother Hank puttin' that ol' wiley-dog smile on her at the end? Yep, a couple of greats, in a darned good video -- a little slice of perfect!
...When legends sing...My only complaint of this song is it's really short. I wish they could have wrote it longer as thier voices are just intoxicating...
I think our boy Hank was a little bit smitten....I know I am. One of the great videos of all time.... Check out the version with introduction by June.....very funny as always.
We only have a couple of film clips of Hank sadly , but this short tv piece makes up for it , Also less than twelve months after this was taken Hank died at 29 years old and in that short life wrote some of the greatest songs ever written , in my mind any way ,
I'm with you, sidescalona, Anita Carter had the voice of an angel and was incredibly beautiful. If she had had the right agent and had had the drive she could have been a superstar---her sister was nice and silly and that's about all.
Hank was a rascal and one of a kind, no one can match him. The way he looks into Anita is just plain *done*...no matter the sexual dynanimcs, they are just incredible to listen to, together.
This one plus and Wanda doing Sparklin Brown Eyes (live) are my nominations for the time capsule. Anita (Born 1933) representing old school country and Wanda (1937) the move toward rockabilly. Magnificent performance here.....reportedly pretty much spur of the moment on Kate Smith show.
There are pictures of Hank and Anita out on the town together in either a restaurant or a nightclub. Can't really tell if it's a date or if they just hung out together. It's possible though, if you look at the look in her eyes while they sing together. Anita was the best looking and the best singer of the Carter daughters. And of course, Hank Williams was . . . Hank Williams. Great one-off duet here.
Folks That's Genuine Passion and Chemistry And LOVE Between HANK Williams & Anita Carter!
If anyone leaves a thumbs down they dont have ears for music. Just dont get better than this!
Truly one of the most amazing moments in the history of true country music.
Today I passed you on the street
and my heart fell at your feet..
I can't help it if I'm still in love with you.,,
WOW..powerful lyrics.
I just love Hank Williams
Anita's voice is just absolutely beautiful, It always stands out on every recording. She really looks gorgeous as well..I bet they didnt even fathom us watching 60 years later on "You Tube"--fantastic!
The only thing wrong with this song is that it's too darned short.
Anyone notice the look of awe in her eyes when she sees him walk on stage you cant fake that...I WISH he was around so he could've sung with Johnny and June and Merle...that would have been a great treat!
Anita was not only beautiful but a great singer.
You know Hank was a professional without peer- if any other guy had seen that smile up close he'd have lost it right then and there.
Perfect as can be! Hard to believe 6 people dislike it.But hard to believe that the junk they call country music now that anyone would like!
Country Soul!! You really see Hank pouring his heart out... sincerity, the key to a country singer.
What a wonderful man , it's heartbreaking to know all the pain he had in his short life.
I wish they'd done an album together... those natural harmonies just can't be beat!
There's cute and there's pretty and there's really good-looking but that was a face to die for. Then she could sing like that as well. WOW!!!
In My Opinion, Anita Carter is Definitely in the Top 5 of Female County Singers.
I'm no Rambo guy, so I write: this is so sweet! And both have such beautiful voices. But Anita Carters's voice is just beautiful X 2!
the music of the angels. I suppose falling in love with her made too damn much sense. One of the best things I've ever heard. Man, Anita Carter, I had no idea.
She is THE female singer period.
dont know what else to say, this is quite possibly the best music video of all time.
It is for sure
Two of the better country singers to ever have walked this earth -- what an amazing video. Compare that to country music today.
The camera man picked up a great moment when he showed Hank's shadow before even seeing Hank himself. This is GREAT!!!!
The man had a diamond pen and a golden voice 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It doesn't get much better than this. Hank Williams and a very young Anita Carter. No wonder they all fell in love with her.
They look like they genuinely like each other. Could Anita have more adorable dimples and facial expressions? I love all those Carters.
me too!!!! i am from brazil and i love the carter family and always will!!!!
Wow, never saw this one before, the performance is so timeliness you beleive they are still here.
I love the adoration in Anita's eyes for Hank.
And Hank for her it is Obvious they had Strong Feelings for each other!
How can anyone not like this song?
Hank Williams is just another level
this video is magic! i've watched it probably a hundred times and i still get goosebumps every time.
Wow that was fantastic Hank And. Anita
My absolute favorite Era of Country Music with two of my favorite artists. :)
Anita was so beautiful and the way she looked at Hank is so touching. We have remember she was already married to Dale Potter since 1950 and this show was broadcast in 1952. But how could mere mortals not be charmed away by her beauty and her angelic voice. Even the great Hank Williams was smitten.

Hank was very much in Love with Anita....thats why this video is so magical.
Every time Anita smiles you can see her cute dimples! I'm in love.
She is smitten.. Talk about harmony this is it
The longing, the emotion, the need. This beats a meat dress any day.
Seldom one can hear two voices that sounds so awesome together. It's a pity that as far as I know there are not much recorded with these nice giants in country music singing a duet.
Nigel Smith. Brilliant clip, Anita had a very sweet voice to match her looks.
Wow Anita Carter!

What a lucky fellow, to have been that close to her......
Great song by two of the greatest! Hank Williams you wrote my life....

So Beautiful
God knows what I would give for her to look at me that way!
Man, Anita had some pipes...
Nice harmony even before all the modern day studio mixing magic and voice cheating. wow.
Anita was a pretty girl and Hank williams well a pioneer for country two beautiful people singing together
What a great clip! How could someone dislike this!
I can't help it if I like this performance so much!

This stuff goes straight to the ♥️! 🐐
Pure magic! Their voices melded so well and Hank's charismatic charm and magnetism would make any woman melt, unless they were made of stone!
It would have been great if Hank and Anita (and her sisters) teamed up to make some records.
Wonderful
I was not even borned yet, but looking at those groing super stars....Melting my heart away...
I'm floored by this performance. Magnificent. Thanks for linking it!
