I have been hardcore tfl watcher for I know 14 years ..incredible how much time has passed. Congrats Nathan !! Congrats tfl on your growth
I agree my first time was when Tommy and Roman drove a Tatra car from Prague to Pebble Beach, since then I've been an ardent fan of the show and frankly the whole team. I only wished Emme Hall would've stayed.
Thanks for watching for so long!
Dang…. Nathan is moving to LA… this makes me sad to know you’re leaving us here in Colorado. But I hope you come back for off-road trips again and maybe even haul some nice cars back with that Ford expedition.
GREAT VIDEO...
These 3 SUVs are a reminder of how far we've FALLEN, not how far we've come. Any of these 3 can be taken to any mechanic and get repaired. You can go into any Autozone, Advanced, or O'Reilly and get what you need. OH, and the MPGs are still almost the same as the new ones. Give or take a few...😂😅😊
I'd take that Tahoe for 10k any day. 😊
THANKS GUYS...
That ‘98 Tahoe was built in my hometown, my family worked at the Janesville GM plant for three generations, I love seeing them still rolling around. Espically in as good of shape as that one, There’s lots of super well cared Tahoe and Suburbans here in Janesville owned by people who built them. Even the last one built at the plant (09 black Tahoe LTZ) is driven all the time and has over 200,000 miles and looks great.
Great purchase Andre! Should last a long time for your folks.
I wish youtube can show me how long ive been a subscriber to you guys. Still remember you since high school as well. Now im 24 and y'all just keep growing!
Happy for Nathan; while SoCal is not the ideal place to live, he will be close to where his family is from. Good luck Nathan can’t wait to see the future Videos.
Congratulations, Nathan!!!!
Congratulations Nathan and Roman!! This is what I had envisaged many months ago, that Nathan needs to be given his own project. I am very pleased that you have done something that I believe will improve the appeal and keep TFL growing.
Thanks for the laughs and enjoyment of watching you all road trip and do those challenges. Will miss you nathen. Im sure the guy will too in the office . But will watch you all on here
I hate to hear Nathan is moving to California. The videos you three do together are the best. Hopefully you'll find a way to continue to make that happen. Good luck with the move Nathan
Good luck in California. There is not enough money in the world to get me to move anywhere in that state !
Long time watcher, long time subscriber. Long time commenter. Every growth moment feels right to me. This one has been a long time needed. IMO. So, congratulations Nathan, I am sure you will do a fantastic job in CA.! Good move TFL!
Good luck Nathan, I wish you and your family all the best.
That Ford....❤ Perfect SUV for me. Due the space.
Someone may have already said it, but Andre saying "I hope it's a skid plate." is pretty classic! Peace, Love!!
Smoking deal on the Expedition Nathan! Looking forward to the SoCal footage. I’m actually looking at the same vehicle to purchase.
So glad you guys made another episode, I kept checking to see if another episode was released. I love these old truck series.
Andre thanks for buying the Tahoe! My family used gm also I hope I can find a 78 c10. My grandpa carried us fishing in it it was a 2wd 350 2 barrel.
So excited for Nathan! Look forward to the new videos to come!
Traded in a 2 door Tahoe years ago, had 319,000 miles... only starters and alternators were changed. Miss that one.
Seeing the comments from Patrons who had seen this video, I was worried Nathan was leaving altogether. I'm very glad to hear he's staying, and is in fact helping TFL expand! I'm very excited to see the content you bring us from California.
Damn I know it's not goodbye but I hate to see the gang in different states but good luck and safe travels nathan its almost like one of the main characters leaving a popular sitcom lol
Steve did a great job, and he was in a different country! Unfortunately, he did so much himself that he realized he was better off without TFL, which I fear will also be Nathan’s fate once he is doing everything on his own out there.
@@Cloud30000 yeah I'd hope that's not the case in this situation but I still wish him the best either way I guess
I miss Stephen too. Truck king is doing great tho.
@@USAWILL yeah it is good on him
Awesome Nathan you are my favorite TFL person. I started watching way back when you reviewed the 2012 Kia Forte SX as I owned one. Now I'm in the market for a 2V Expedition so I hope to continue to hear updates about this vehicle and what you fix or add to it.
To me, Nathan moving to L.A sounds like Nathan being Punished.
I think he’s more of the California type then the rest of you know what I mean
So you're saying they're moving closer to his wifes boyfriend 🤷♂️@@gamebredduramax71
He still has family in California & I think he was a California kid. If he was being punished, why would they trust him with setting up all new out there on his own? He is gonna do well out there!
That’s your opinion, and you know what they say about those….
No… as you know. Roman and Tommy went and bought a Condo in Moab so I think they’re expanding their horizons.
Why are you expanding to California. Utah would make more sense considering you go to moab so much
Well, they did purchase a condo near Moab so they can be based there more easily when they are testing in that area.
It’s due to the ability of press cars. There’s not going to be any press cars in Utah, but Southern California will have a ton since many print publications have been there decades.
It's all good work, boys. Good work and great friends together, what more can you ask for? Best wishes from a one time Australian in Poland . . . where we are very happy to have a little young! diesel Megane with 170,000 miles that gets us there. Keep on trucking you great guys.
Congrats on the expansion guys, great news. Good luck !!!!
Go big. love the series
I can't wait to see what Cali will bring to the channel. Thank you TFL, safe travels Nathan, and best of luck!
Another great series. You will be missed Nathan,. Good luck!
Love these series with go big, old Jeeps, old Toyotas. Would like to see with old Nissan 4x4.
TFL looks good, having an office in Boulder, the ranch outside, the appartement in Moab and now an office in LA. Great job Roman and the team. When do you open up an office in europe, maybe based in the Czech Republic or in Germany? Would be great.
Nathan, all the best to you going home. There are a lot great offroading places in Cal as well. Steelers Nation!
Greetings from Bremen (where your SL was made), Germany
That would be cool!
Wish that cruiser had triple lockers never seen one worth that without the lockers but these keep going up and up
That landcruiser can fetch over 25k on bringatrailer with those miles. Over 30k if it was tripple locked
@@JJ-rb3ss crazy I owned a 94 triple locked sat at a dealership for a long time started at 15k kept dropping it ended up getting it for 5k
@@aaronscott2278 how long ago was that? They just got hot around 4 yrs ago
@@JJ-rb3ss about that prob 4 years ago trans went out and the price for parts for it and 9mpg I let it go for 5,500 about a year ago had around 230k on it
I bet they are each going to get a channel:
Nathan in California running tflcar.
Tommy running tflclassic.
Andre running tfltruck.
Roman running tflnow.
Everyone pitching in tfloffroad.
Alex and Kase being floaters.
C'mon down to San Diego once you've moved in and have a cold one on me, Nathan. Congrats!
I wouldn't mind owning the Tahoe. It's simple technology that the shade tree mechanic can fix in his driveway or back yard if it ever breaks. The 2010 and above trucks require a shop visit and the dealership for the majority of parts required.
My 95 Suburban is still running strong, and other than having to replace the rear shock mounts, and repainting the hood and roof, has been flawless.
I have a 2010 and am a shade tree mechanic and I maintainine just fine without a dealer (yes, the older trucks are easier, but it doesn't mean you can't work on the new ones)
In Jan 2002 I bought a 2001 Che y Venture ext wheel base. Great space, good on gas drove it from Toronto to east coast many time. However, head gaskets, tie rods (more than once), front brakes many time, and a list of other problems. Had 2 friends with the vans, same issue. It died after 11 years. Never bought another GM
Good luck Nathan!
The land cruiser is just nice
You guys are gold.
The landcruiser can go for over 25-30k with those miles on bringatrailer
How bad is Colorado if Nathan is choosing to move to LA
Colorado has become California lite
@@cargopilotguy305 Coldifornia as I like to call it.
Phoenix is California. Theyve been voting blue for the pass couple of years.
Liberal hell holes from everything I've seen. Both tax the hell out of you ,and now you get punished for gas powered vehicles so my bet is they will now be doing EV videos.
Guys, I watch your videos every day. I am a very, very listening listener. Thank you, your lover from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Congrats to Nathan!
I always wondered if you all would expand. I’d imagine the number of press cars in Colorado would have to be limited. Curious on if you’ll hire new staff in LA?
Hopefully it works out well for Nathan and TFL here in CA. Gonna miss not having all the guys together, you have great chemistry in and off camera snd some of my favorite videos are will all 3 of the "amigos". Either way hopefully this means that we'll have more cars and a wider selection of reviews here on TFL!
Congratulations Nathan!!!
Newer vehicles are staying the same for fuel milage because they keep building them bigger and heavyer they say lighter but there not, new trucks are heavyer. My dad's dad told him that model A cars got 30 mpg and what's the best they get today, 30 mpg. Gmt 800 was the best model for aerodynamics and quality before they started getting bigger and going backwards in quality.
They are doing a decent job at keeping weight in check and boosting aerodynamics, but the bigger issue is the need for this super-car engines; if they fitted an engine with the power that was plenty 25 years ago with efficiency improvements of today, the mpg would be much better. Unfortunately, it’s hard to sell a truck with 200 hp when people are used to doing 90 mph with a 400 hp engine. People complain about bad mileage with the base engines, even though it’s actually pretty good when not doing 20 over the speed limit or towing twice the weight of the truck, but even the base engines are more power than what was plenty for a truck in the late 90’s.
Congratulations to the guys for the TFL vehicles purchase
Nathan, I'm in So Cal, sign me up to work with you at TFL 😊
I hope Nathan keeps the Expedition for a long time and just make it a proper off roader with front and rear lockers, some K03s etc
Old vs new expedition would be fun to watch
20K USD for that Crusier is a steal honestly. A rust free resionably low Km on ine Australia, probably with a 2H diesel is knocking on 30k AUD. I want one but can't afford one, so I have a 1998 4L ZG. Euro built Aussie delivered ZJ.
Nathan to LA seems like an odd pairing. Makes more sense to send one of the younger guys like Case or Tommy.
He's from there. He's going home.
HELLO! Im Paul and i have been watching tfl for years now. Im a automobile enthusiast just like you guys! If you ask my wife i am always watching auto videos and have an extensive familiarity with all vehicles despite my owning older vehicles. I watch these videos for fun and would love LOVE to interview with Nathan and help in any way i can!!! It has always been my dream to do these videos… i also have solid familiarity with LA and am ready and willing to do anything to be part of the tfl team!!! Please consider !!!
It's interesting to see them side-by-side on a flat floor like that. I always thought the Land Cruiser was much smaller than the other two.
Is that a California Special Mustang next to the Toyota? I know you guys focus on trucks, but would love to see the GT/CS in one of your future videos...
Yes and yes
California!! I’d rather be beat with a board!
Looking forward to videos from California. Congrats on the promo!
Maybe some Tesla semi Truck videos?…
Unlike the Tacoma, I don’t think TFL will have any trouble getting what they are asking for that Land Cruiser.
That cruiser can go for over 25k on bringatrailer
Congrats on the promotion, Nathan!
And the Ford would have been my choice of the 3. :-)
Could we also see a TFL Business PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) type video using these three vehicles? Third party ?
Love the channel... CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHEN THE RAMCHARGER WILL BE RELEASED FOR YOU TO REVIEW???
What cars are not available to you being based in Colorado that we can expect Nathan to review?
Nathan drew the short straw having to move to LA.
What seat covers are those on the Landcruiser?
Factory.
No seat covers
you should test in las vegas.
You guys should keep the lc and compare it to the new lc😊
Not going to be the same without Nathan going to watch you and the gang together.
Good luck in Commifornia!
Yes because Missouri is better. Going to vote for a convicted felon and confederate flag?
I want the Toyota landcruiser
Is that what nathan wants to be honest? I somehow doubt it. Why not move anywhere else?
Condolences to Nathan.😬
I know a lot of people who have moved out of California but i dont know many who willingly moved to California.
You know what is missing is a dodge Durango
Been watching TFL since I was highschool, I'm 30 now!. I remember the first Tesla Roadster review with Nathan and Roman. You'll definitely be missed Nathan
Why did Nathan choose to buy the Ford? Because it’s the best one there.
Don’t worry just have kase and tommy and Alex on speed dial Ok Nate. Remember get a accountant. And be safe. Also Brendan is available for questions. ❤.
Brendan isnt available lol. Roman wouldnt pay him any more money so he said kiss my ass im done here, and I really dont blame him
@@Nathans_Margarita_SaltI've been wondering if Brendan was gone
They should have banished 1 of the kids like Tommy or Alex to southern California instead of Nathan, I could live without them in most videos TBH. If most of the future offroading videos are going to just be Roman Andre and Tommy its going to get really boring really fast. No idea how Nathan of all crew members is going to financially make this work when Roman barely pays them enough to survive in Colorado as it is
How in the world do you have any idea what Roman pays them?
Dang, moving to LA
Congrats Nathan. Save those $3000 for fuel or dump the Ford once you land in CA and get a Tesla and no longer care about gas prices 🤣 (people say EV prices, especially used, have dropped so perfect time to get a decent deal on one…)
20k is crazy lol for a landsnoozer
If it had lockers, I would disagree.
I never saw what's so special about the Land Snoozer. It has the least power, small cargo and interior space compared to the others two and the aerodynamics and styling of a brick.
The Tahoe is nice and has good power but has low ground clearance as do most GM 4x4 trucks and SUVs of that era. They did the Expedition dirty in this series and should have equipped it and Tahoe with the same tires as the Land Snoozer at least, which the latter also has an aftermarket lift kit.
Typical TFL...
Horrible idea Nathan. Just wait til the video cars start getting stolen or hobos attack him leaving the office. Then the taxes start 🙄
Moving to Commiefornia
Better than Confederate texas
My condolences to Nathan for having to live in California.
I sold my 2002 Expedition with 350k miles on it and it was great
Hope the FJ80 didn't get scrapped...
🤣 i feel for the sucker that pays $20k for a pos, underpowered toyota from 1995, like seriously, i can't believe anyone would pay 20k for a 7k suv with 150k miles. 20k! guys you could get a really nice mint 2013-2015 jeep wrangler for 20k. A jeep wrangler feels roomy compared to these Toyotas . Some owner was ecstatic when he sold this to FLT for 16k. KBB national average is $7k, even if you add $2000 for stuff, and a "classic factor" of 1k, you are still only at 10k. Anyone who pays more than 10k for this, is absolutely getting ripped off. The value just isn't there. It's WAY underpowered, you will hate it on the freeway, and in most cases won't even keep up. Forget passing. Forget going through mountains. Oh they engine swap it? That's 5k on the cheap side, 10k if you have someone do it. Let's be realistic. You will hate how this thing drives. It's a dog, it's 2010 jeep wrangler 3.8L dog like 212hp/275, literally makes the same HP/Torque and jeep parts are MUCH cheaper. Good luck with 1995 Toyota land cruiser parts. Hey just the voice of reason. No one should be such a fan of this that they would pay 20k for it. 7-10k maybe. Maybe. 16-20k, absolute ripoff. Doesn't matter how much you like it. lol LOVE ya FLT, but had to put my 2cents in.
BUYER BEWARE it's a dog, underpowered, even in some situations so underpowered it's dangerous, passing is a joke, 70-80 feels like Warp 9.95, it never feels planted, it always feels like it's gonna flip at any moment. Now, if all you gonna do is some offroading, trail riding, and on-road is an every now and then thing, ok its for that. But not at 20k. Anyways, cool video, kind of wish a 1990s jeep was thrown in there.
I just think the Tahoes of that era were so ugly. Chevy was behind the design game in that era. And this is also the GM crappy brittle plastic era.
Mostly recycled footage.
I love ford , and i own a 2022 F150, it makes me sad that they used the ugliest looking ford for this challenge 😂
What an idiotic move lol…CA?!?!?!?
Greedy!
You buy a vehicle, beat the sh*t out of it, make a bunch of money on the videos of it, then charge your employees / friends what you paid for it.
What a deal!
Wait, let’s get this right. We buy a car, make a video with it, pay our rent, taxes, editors, videographers, insurance and employees with the money we make from the video and then we sell the car to them at half price and you call that greedy?!?!?
@@TFLtruck
You DID not say half price.
You said you sell them for what you paid for them. And that you're only discounting Nathan 3 G because he's moving to California to run your new location.
LA is nasty... it's disgusting, the people are disgusting, the laws are completely big brother forget your rights. You couldn't pay me any amount of money to move there. Dallas, San Antonio, Houston would all be better choices if you want clean mint car choices.
How much is Toyota paying them because they make Toyotas for everything and every time they try them they add extra to all the Toyotas. They are not realistic and they no longer make me want to watch their videos.
Congratulations Nathan! Find a good Bible believing church once you get there.
The capital of shoplifting and the expensive gasoline.... At least u can split lanes in a motorcycle 😂
