Hey Guys. This is a fantastic camera for street photography. This camera uses the zone focusing system which means you have to set the scale for example to 2 metes @ f/11 and everything from 1.5 to 3 meter will be in focus (scale in 3 meters everything will be in focus from 2 to 6 meters and so on), this is amazing because you do not have to focus every single time... just frame and click. The shooter is so silent that nobody notices it. By the way, if you like more in meters the scale you can remove the rubber band in front of the lens and just loose a little bit the three little screws and you can flip the meters to the top.

Really nice review, and lovely visually appealing images! Would love to play with this camera, but she's a pricey one. Thanks!

Great shots, terrific light exposure on your part.
As for the lens, I think it’s as sharp as Leica. But I shoot this thing on f8+ and hyperfocal distance. It’s pin sharp then

Do you think the Rollei35 (camera + lens) can compete with a Leica M? The lightness of the camera is not a problem for shooting at slow speed ?

They’re two very different cameras at very different price points. There’s really no point to compare to be honest.

Hi! I have the Rollie 35s. It's quickly becoming my favourite 35mm with the compact size and beautiful sharp lens quality. The scale focus is not as bad as I'd thought it would be. BTW the metre scale is underneath! I think it looks great with portraits. My meter doesn't seem to work either but I'm ok with a lightmeter app. I find my rewind is pretty tight on my first roll so I opened it up. Looks like you're kind of local too. I always was interested with this camera, I love the compact size but now that I know how the focusing work, no way. I have a Yashica that have the same type of focusing system and I hate it. Still a very interesting video

You have the meter "rangefinder" on the bottom side of the lens =] good luck

Yeah, someone told me that a few weeks ago😅 It was a friend’s camera so I’m not using it at the moment.
