Hi Jay and Sam! The water looked absolutely delightful. It's been hot and humid here in NY. The dolphins were fun to see. We have had a problem with shark sightings and attacks in the waters off Long Island. Beaches had to be closed in some cases. The gurnard is a beautiful color. I have never seen one. I don't know if they're found here. Take care, guys.

Yeh I don't think I've ever caught Gurnard whilst fishing in America so I don't think they are native too American waters? Although I must admit they make beautiful eating, especially on the BBQ. Florida is my No1 American destination for fishing when on holiday in the U.S. no where else can you catch huge Nurse sharks and Barracuda literally from the back of your holiday home when the yard backs off into the sea. One night I was out all night. Caught 2 nurse sharks and a Huge Barracuda which we put on the BBQ the next day😋

Back in the 1980s I started a little Express Bus Service between Thurso ( my home town) and Inverness 100 miles further south.
On one occasion I bought a gurnard and popped in the glove box of my little 19 seat coach. At the end of the 100mile journey home I found it to be perfectly cooked by heat from the demister. Perfect by mistake 😂😂

Hello Jay, Great video! Great to watch you and Sam doing what you do best. You are very entertaining to watch. The mediteranian fish was amazing toi see. Do you think that the change in sea temeratures are bringing new species into our waters? I have watched several video where you have catch Wrasse but never seen a catch and cook. Are they not good eating?I bet the Dolphins made your day! Best wishes from Plymouth, Devon.

Your right Nathan Wrasse don't make particular good eating. Their perfectly edible but I tried it once and wasn't overly impressed. Although Gurnard do make beautiful eating. If you get the chance ask your local fish monger to get some in for you, if you live inland and don't get chance to go sea fishing.😋

We have the Sea Robin here in the Northeast States. More of a nuisance fish they are so plentiful. Different versions all around. Ours have big wings for fins. Some call them a poor man’s lobster because of taste and texture.

Hi Terry love going to Florida for my fishing holidays. No where else can you catch such a variety of fish. One night fishing off the back yard of my holiday home that backs off into the sea, I caught two big Nurse sharks and a huge Barracuda, which was kept and straight on the BBQ the next day. Hoping too book another fishing trip in 2023 for Florida, just me and the boys this time, so no wife moaning at me spending too much time fishing😂

Red gurnard are a delicacy in France and northern Spain really popular, although I’ve seen them taking and selling fish that haven’t matured, so I bet their stocks are pretty low - no doubt that’s why they want to fish the UK waters, to decimate our stocks too

get yourself a different chopping board and a flexible fillet knife or a longer knife. Cutting on glass hurts my soul as a chef and seeing you use tiny knives and leave so much fish on the skin hurts too. I love your videos but utilising all of your fish to the best of your ability is important. Take this constructively. I do enjoy your videos, all of the way from Australia đŸ€™
