Ryan is now part of a group called The Tyne Band. They perform on CZcams and are currently on tour around the UK.

Imo he picked wrong! Sams voice was lacking in many areas! whereas Ryan only needs to work on one or two! but hey who are we to say compared to the professionals?? 🤔🤨
Considering that Sam won the entire competition that season, maybe Danny made the correct choice?

@@philbrownsey-hughes2793 I think the coaches who have have spent a lot of time with them have a better understanding of the kids' capabilities than us who only see a few short clips on CZcams. While they all have talent (otherwise they wouldn't have made it this far), some might need more development than others. Besides, these are 7 to 14 year olds. As Danny has stated in an interview, they have plenty of time to show the coaches they were wrong to not pick them.

Um, no. All the kids performed well. Since Sam went on to win that season, I think Danny ultimately did make the right choice.
The song only favoured Sam. It was very unfair for the rest.
Although Sam’s voice stands out , I believe Coach Danny screw up picking this weird song. Three amazing young performers and a disservice to two. No wonder I have never heard of McFly until this show.
That's very true.
You probably haven't heard of McFly because, even though the band's been around since 2003, they were most high profile in their first decade (and mostly in the UK and Ireland). And "Under Pressure", the iconic Queen/David Bowie collaboration, is anything but a "weird song". It was a #1 hit in the UK and achieved double platinum sales status in both the UK and U.S. It's very challenging to sing but all three did quite well, in my opinion.
