This actually happened last week here in SA
Some high-school girl was taking videos of her friends and embarrassing them on Tik Tok
The mom found out and did the same exact to her daughter.
The video of her embarrassing her daughter trended more than the little girls video

Every African can relate being sent to pick your own switch and just panicking through out the process😂...... Even worse the parents won't hit you but put u in a constant fear that the beating is coming any time soon, so then u stay sad and in panic all day ..... Worst times, fun memories😂😂😂

That was the worst! The anticipation of paying for whatever the infringement was. I was always getting into trouble and would hide. But hearing the other kids playing outside while I had to hide when all I wanted was to join them, made me realise that hiding just postponed the inevitable. After an incident, I decided to rat myself out before I got ratted out. No one knew what to do with me. I simply told the truth the whole truth and I was met with opened mouths. Never got punished after that. I simply reasoned my way out of everything, shamelessly pointing to the contradictions in instructions from adults - not in a rude way but in me trying to make sense of it. Oftentimes, this ended up with me getting exactly what I wanted. I turned into a savvy businessperson that is constantly underestimated until the other party realizes their mistakes, but always too late. I credit my childhood for this.

the worst part is the one where you are outside looking for the stick and you are thinking real hard on weather to run away and come back late at night when they are worried about you and tired or come back with the stick and get it over with😂😂life was an adventure back then😅

They would also analyse the switch. If it wasn't big enough, you had to go back to get a new one. So not only are you anticipating the beating, you participate with terms and conditions. Horrid memories

My parents always hit me after I don't know what you're talking about, the anticipation was justified🤣

Lol no jokes though.. I'm from Cape Town South Africa.. and growing up and not listening or back chatting.. always had someone running for the stick.. and we literally had two one stick long and thick and the second was a sabok (black whips for horses) gosh that was the worse.. once we broke the stick and I was made to go outside and find a new one.. I purposely took my time.. but they beating still came

Kids need hidings, they need discipline, and those parents who don't do that should never have bred! Simple as that, it is not an opinion, it is a fact.

What Trevor was saying was something similar to what the late / great Richard Pryor once said during one of his sketches. Richard said that his dad would make him go outside and pick his own 'switch' and if it wasn't to his dad's liking and big enough then his dad would go out and uproot the entire tree to beat him with! 👎🤣👎

I can relate to his story and I am sure a lot of africans can also relate because this is something that our parents used and still do.

My stupid a** used to be obsessed with like the musketeers and scorpion king typa sword fighting as a kid and I always used to bring sticks home to use as my pretend sword as a kid.... My mother never used to need to send me to find a stick to beat me when I did something wrong her weapons were already there 🤣🤣🤣

I was raised with a hiding when needed.
We're seven kids in total, we've all turned out to be disciplined, focused kids and some of us have gone on to have our own children.
They've all turned out to be productive, fun loving people who know what discipline is, in the wider context of the word.

Lots of other channels have reacted to Trevor's comedy shows as well up until very recently. I wonder why you can no longer react to those now and how are others able to react without a strike if there are copyright infringement issues involved?
