Waikare bailey bridge reconnects Wairoa to the rest of Hawke's Bay.

The weeekend saw the re-connection of State Highway 2 from Napier to Wairoa with the opening of the Waikare bailey bridge. The opening represents access to freight, healthcare and most importantly family, and a significant time saving from the previous workaround route.
