I needed to hear this. I’m new to luxury designers and have been a Coach girl. I just purchased my first YSL envelope clutch and the conversion kit to make it a crossbody. I used rewards points and got it for $500. I think it’s worth it and will enjoy it BUT I almost wanted to get it in another color bc it is a great deal for a first timer but I’ll save my money for something else. It’s funny because Coach has nicer leather and hardware but it’s “contemporary.” Thanks!
Oh the context about the shopping trip - I can see how you got drawn into just embracing the full shopping experience! Isn’t it weird how when you get home and really take a good look it doesn’t sing to you? Maybe that’s a call for online shopping, being brutally honest with ourselves without the pressure of the store…. It’s way easier! Great video and Jessie’s video was great too!

I understand why it’s compared so much to Chanel such a gorgeous dressier bag. Great info and story! I still don't have any Saint Laurent except my red card holder. I do like it, but don't use it a lot, except in mini bags. I've been interested in getting a YSL bag this year but I'm becoming very skeptical and may hold off awhile!

I actually really love the colour and yes it is very Chanel-esque! Love the colourway but i do agree about the yellow gold chain which can look cheap! Agree it looks abit stiff and more an evening bag for an event. TFS and i subscribed! 💞💜❤ keep connected!

I also purchased the ysl in black and I sold to fund my Alma bb that I just purchased from LV. Purchased a Chanel boy bag and decided to sell another YSL to fund it. I agree with you the hardware is too shiny and YSL depreciates quickly in value. I cut my losses and sold one bag to Fashionphile and the other to Yoogi’s closet. I’m thinking of selling my remaining 2 😏. I will stick with Chanel & LV. Thanks for sharing just subscribed. 💕

I’m honest with my bag reviews. If it’s not a bag that works for me, I’m not gonna sell the “it’s fab story”. Definitely glad you passed it on. I wanted a YSL bag and I returned both bags and the two wallets I purchased. About to return the card holder. It’s a brand I can live without.

The color of the chain is the reason why I bought it. Same color like my watch. I wish the Loulou would have a chain like that. I like the bigger Cassandre better it does not have these edgy corners on the bottom. I love it.

1000% agree and have this bag in black! 😂 I would never recommend this bag nor the YSL brand. I hold onto mine because it’s pretty, love the Cassandra logo from the 1960s, can’t be bothered and I use it on the odd occasion to go clubbing/partying or whenever I need a bag that I’m not bothered by! I’m also over LV, I’m in the phase of trying pieces from different houses to find a luxury brand that speaks to me, maybe it’ll be Chanel?

I have one YSL bag a black medium Lou Lou. The leather is soft and beautiful. I bought it 5 years ago and it is still as beautiful as ever. I don’t like the leather on the bag you are showing but all of the YSL bags do not have that type of leather. Most of my bags are LV, some Gucci and Chanel. They have good resale value but I buy bags that I love not to sell.

I believe it is the specific bag that you purchased. Everyone knows that it is cheaper to buy the ysl clutch and convert to a crossbody. The wallet on a chain is double the price. I love ysl but I wouldn't buy the bag due to the price and the material.

I have sold mine in black , is the first bag that I have sold… Too dressy, too gold… The chain is too long and is not a round chain like the Felicie LV or the Chanel woc…. For me it is a very uncomfortable chain….
