Great idea in regards of the free academy program for urban kids.. that where all the talent is at!
These kids need an opportunity to showcase themselves not even for pro level more for college scholarships!!
All the suburbanites(white) are taking all the roster spots in these mls nxt and college rosters..
Not because they are so talented more of they have the $$$ to play and that goes on in every city!!!

France and England became the two strongest teams in the world by scouting and developing their Black urban populations and it is crazy that soccer is a white rich kid sport in America. The first guy who allows black kids in America to play soccer for free like the rest of the world could be sitting on a goldmine of talent.

First off. Its not the same thing. France has a influx of african immigrants who worship n idolize the sport of football. Blk americans dont. U set up in inner cities in usa
Im sorry but blk americans have no sense of culture or understanding of football. They know basketball, american football.
They r horrible in so call soccer. Its not in their culture. U cant compare west africans. Say ooo they both blk. If more blks from inner city plays for usa. They would be good? Tha doesnt work like that.

It will probably take decades to develop a hardcore football ⚽ culture amongst African-Americans though. As it stands, they prefer gridiron football 🏈, basketball, and even baseball far more. The first step should be to build futsal courts in the hoods. They can be adapted from outdoor basketball courts as in Europe. Latino Americans (specifically Mexican Americans) are more likely to be the next US football ⚽ gold mine in the future.

@@alejandrodiaz-dw5wrI agree completely as someone of Nigerian descent. Didn't see your comment when I posted mine but we're on the same page- the best players usually come from a football culture.
