ACE trail them there Darren... The type of trail that needs a good few runs at it until one has slowly pieced together a clean run... There's just SO MUCH going on there!
I am fascinated and shocked at the same time😱. These trails and the ground are so cool🤩, but on the second trail I'm pretty sure I would have shit my trousers😂. You had to fight with your front wheel twice, but you always managed to keep your balance👌. Paul's safe was worthy of a prize💯🙌. Awesome ride and a great performance Darren💪. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it🙏. Ride on and see you tomorrow mate🤘
"Fascinated and shocked at the same time" was my precise reaction when I was there too 😂
@@JayRidesTrails I'm sure you do, Jay, it must be even more impressive in real life than in the video. Good work buddy💪
Thanks Christoph. It was probably one of my most satisfying days on the bike!
Fantastic mate, another blinding video of some crazy looking trails
Cheers Jason. I see you've got a new bike - I need to check out that video as well.
This is gnarly 😅 You definitely did an awesome job riding these trails 🤙Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it! It's about as gnarly as it gets for me. Thank you for watching 👍
Wow, what a well put together edit again mate! Great choice with the audio tracks continuing sometimes for example 👍
"XC combined with trials riding", haha 😅 that's basically it!
Also, "Jay is made of way sterner stuff" or how you put it is almost sarcastic, especially after this trail that you absolutely ROCKED! That was totally your day man! 🤘
Btw I still think Paul's save has got to be the best bit of the trip. The whole scene is so good! 😂👍
Ohh, aaaand I think it is quite funny how you rode INSANE stuff on the Rock rolls etc and then those skinnies freaked you out... 🤣 BUT the good news is, it got much better in the following days! You know how to push yourself to improve, and that was cool to see, and quite inspiring!
The antipodeans did a fine job on the crashes. Christine's from your angle was also priceless 😂
what a mtb vacation you are having, so many good memories or? 💯👊🏻Very well done Darren!
Wow there are some crazy gnarly lines haha :D I can only imagine how gnarly they look without the GoPro effect :D
The second feature on the Treasure Trail was probably the steepest of the lot. It took a lot of studying before I was prepared to commit. It really is amazing how quickly you adapt to everything being steeper and gnarlier though.
Fantastic, you're my hero. I would not have cleared one single feature. It really is Impressive how you manage to overcome your fear and respect and commit to the task
Thanks Thorsten. My confidence was really high on that day, and I was on a real roll ( this is not always the case). I couldn’t have done it without the other guys to support me though - it’s not the sort of trail I’d want to be riding on my own 😉
@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland I know what you mean, sometimes you have that flow / confidence and everything works perfectly. These are those magic moments which you will always remember with a smile on your face
@@Bessunger Exactly! That second feature on treasure trail is one I won’t forget for a long time. I think it might be one of the most intimidating features I have ever ridden.
the trails are just 🤩😍😍😍😍😍 no words
That second one was particularly special. Such an amazing day!
Nice riding. We didn't ride either of these trails, on the list for next spring! That long bridge was a fun one, I love the passing pullout. Just like the roads in Summerset.
Thanks Jerry! This was a great lap - full of challenges. I need to practice my skinnies before I go again though 😉
Hey Darren, good to see you holding our Swiss style up there! :) Maybe you should switch to Hayes Dominion A4 for the brakes, should help a lot with modulation and braking power! 😅
Thank you 🙏. I've never ridden the Hayes brakes. They'd have to be pretty damn special to split up my love affair with my Shimano Saints 😉
Have to say, I hate skinnys as well, but on the otherhand, what a great way to motivate on the climbs 🤣
Unsure if amazing trails, or scary as hell! Either way, well ridden mate 👍🏻
It was scary at times. I was feeling confident though and the force was with me!
Massive gains over the four years
I have to say, looking back on it, I surprised myself as well 😉
so what was XC about that first trail ???????????
Hello mate. hope you are well. All those crazy features were linked up with sections like we rode at the beginning of Marc my Word, and that's what they call cross country in those parts 😂
Incredible journey Darren. Loved watching this!
Thanks Jamie!
