Mazda Rotary Engine Porting Is Like a Kids Coloring Book - Exhaust Porting is a bit tricky!

- Its so easy a child could do it.... Maybe not. Porting a rotary engine is as much an art as it is science. It takes time, patience, and a steady hand to create a port that provides the power and drivability you want. Don't take porting for granted, as its pretty easy to go to far, and cost yourself time and money, but a good porting template will keep you in the Lines!

Just pulled my '90 N/A engine out to do a full rebuild and street port... super excited, been teaching my now 16 yr old how to work on it... even the 4 and 6 yr olds are helping... thanks for your videos brother...
You would have been envious of me on Saturday, here in the UK we celebrated 55 years of mazda rotary cars at JDM Combe (Castle Combe race track) we had over 100 rotary powered cars on our combined club stands, original Cosmo sports car and another Cosmo sedan, RX3 and RX4, RX7 FBs, FCs and FDs then meant RX8s, we had several parade Laps throughout the day(which was scorching) a lot of good clean fun and out club(RX8 owners UK) won stand of the show.
You are Right!! I will own a 66 Cosmo one of these days. but I have never seen one in person. Super Cool!! Any Videos from the event.
@@RADPotential I do have a video and some photos, not sure how to forward them though
@@paulvernon4160 upload them to your CZcams channel....then we can all see it :)

Is there a preference in ports for a renesis 6 port?
I have a 90 fc 13b-dei. Any tips on street porting an n/a fc? Is it worth it? And is it easy as bigger injectors, I’m guessing ecu won’t like it. Would like to go street port turbo. But I’m guessing it’ll be easier to go 13b-rew +harness and turbo
i wanna see a even smaller bridged bridge port
Hi, what's the best way to clean up the waterways in the casings? Keep the videos coming 👍👍
I usually use some engine degreaser, simple green, etc, and my pressure washer, or if they are really bad, I will take them down to my neighbor who has a ranger parts wash cabinet
@@RADPotential cheers fella 👍
Bro, any video on turbo improvement for this 13B??
I don't have any furthering on this particular engine's project, but I will be building an identical engine to go in the RHD Fd. it will also be a single turbo, Full refresh on it...again haha
is that KE70 rotary project ? ? ? the one is outside your garage
The red one?
best port for turbo?
On what engine?
@@RADPotential renesis
@@cameronsheehan9980 turbo ren? Be careful
Renesis, I'd just do a street port, good 2 PC apex seals, and a GOOD tuner to keep your detonation away.
why cant you replace your own bearings
I dont have a press, so I just have a buddy do it for me.
Bro my oil light is on my rx8 I have oil in it
Oil level sensor wiring is on the drivers side of the engine. It follows the oil fill neck down the center iron. The level sensor is in the oil pan at the middle. I'd start there
@@RADPotential thanks alot appreciate it heaps, I'll start at the oil pan, love your videos glad I found you 👍
First.
Got seasick trying to watch, get a tripod or something.
