Rebel - New West: Re-mixed

20 musicians share their favourite music and discuss life in Amsterdam Nieuw West. ‘New West: Re-mixed’ blends their answers into an audiovisual mash-up, to create an impression of Amsterdam’s largest and most diverse district.
Armed with his recording equipment and a film crew, ethnomusicologist and audiovisual producer, Anastasios Sarakatsanos, visits Amsterdam Nieuw West, at the end of almost two decades of urban renewal projects. He interviews a group of musicians on their background, influences and ideas, listens to their music, investigating the identity shift of an area that both its landscape and its human geography have been completely reshaped.
