I play the Sims 4 on my Macbook Pro, have all the highest graphic settings and a bunch of mods and my game runs perfectly ♥ and oh my god, yes Tech-Hippie is literally a game changer! I could never play without these better graphics!

I don't know if it's my adhd but the speed at which you talk is the perfect speed for me lmao
One thing I do with my mods folder is I’ll have separate folders for eyes, lipsticks, female hair, male hair, etc. instead of just putting them in the mods folder makes it easier to keep organized, and easier to find if a mod brakes instead of scrolling for an hour to find one page file.
NOTE: If you did The Sims 4/Mods/Hair/Male Hair then put the package file in there the game can’t read that far.
That’s why you have to do The Sims 4/Mods/Female Hair, and put the package files there.

Sims 4 is running fine on the newest MacBook Air for me, although to be fair, my last computer was rusty crusty dusty and disgusty, so anything slightly better is a major improvement

Bookcamp for windows on Mac is already built in. So you just share hard drive space. I was intimidated at first too but it's really simple and I actually love it. Best of both worlds on one laptop.

Some Mac-specific controls that I struggled to find for a while:
Press fn+f5 in build mode to get quarter tile placement
With the sims 3 camera on, tilt your camera up and down by holding command and the arrow for the direction in which you want to tilt.
In free camera mode, press E to raise and Q to lower the camera (it could be vice versa im not sure)

Hi! Do you have experience with the Control + W/S button from PC? I can't figure out how to get the screen to tilt like Birds Eye view and down to eye level.... I know T works in build mode, but do you have any suggestions how to get the tilt back like in the Sims 3 camera version? Having so much trouble!

No. I usually just leave it in there because sometimes after another update the cc will restore itself. Now if it’s a big mod that changes your game like mcc command center or Carl’s dine out then you have to go to the creator to see if they made any updates
I struggle with the same thing girl LOL I talk soo fast and I kinda get insecure about it because I feel like some ppl don't really want to listen to me cuz they can't process it lmao. Just started the vid. Hopefully I found the right one. I'm a Windows user that will be switching to my sister's Imac, so I'm seeing if Sims 4 can easily be ran on an Imac.
idk if this comment section would be able to give me some advice, but I recently got some cc that when placed, glitches out with flashing rainbow colours. I turned on laptop mode and it fixed the issue, but then my sims (also use cc) hair and eyelashes graphics tank- those blonde thick streaks and chunky pixelating. What would you suggest for my settings to fix this?
I've tried turning the Sims graphics to high or very high w laptop mode on, laptop mode off w low visual quality and low graphics for objects and reflections and lighting, idk how to make it work!! (and cannot afford a whole pc just for sims)
I tried to teach my sister how to build in Sims 4 on her Mac and I felt like a complete idiot! I couldn’t even roof a simple house, rotate or zoom in! I’m gonna have to try and find her tutorial because I can’t help!

I need help!! Whenever I run the sims 4 from origin (no mods or cc or anything, just base game), I can play for about a minute then my ENTIRE macbook freezes and I have to shut it down and restart it. Please tell me someone knows what I can do, I really want to play!

when making a copy of your mods folder does the copy folder need to go in a specific space on your computer? or can you just put it on your desktop
You can put it on your desktop ! I just make a folder on my desktop and then do it
What would be even safer is to put the “copy” folder on an external hard drive or a USB. That way, if something happens to the actual computer, you still have everything

@@thesimyin I managed to set my game up to run from an external hard drive but my mods ( the thing that takes up so much space and caused my game to stop running as I'm a cc addict haha ) still automatically save in my macbook's hard drive. Do you know of any way to have the mods folder saved to an external hard drive too? I've been searching for a fix but can't seem to get one :(

Yes you can but i think when it come to download a lot of cc and other thing from outside im not sure about if the game will run perfectly… but if you have like the last and best version of the macbook air, it should work perfectly with a lot of cc and the highest quality !

- MBP M2 16 GB + 256 SSD
i'll mainly use it for note taking and some gaming (Sims 4, Minecraft, Stardew Valley)
I would say the second option if you don’t have a lot of cc on sims 4
