Playing a Ka-50 is like bringing an actual gun to an airsoft match.
I have it, can confirm this is true. Itâs fun as hell when you play it but if you fight them itâs like âGOD WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN MEâ
I use it mostly in customs with friends because itâs fun to take L3âs and try to sprint away to avoid 500 kg bombs and watch them get flung around whenever you get a kill.

But that gun doesnât have any sights on it. Once you get the KA-52, you then put a 16 power scope on it with those thermals. That is the difference the thermals made for me.

Thats why i dont play the game. Spawn killing is a legit tactic in this game and on top of that your spawns are limited. đ€·đ»
I still to this day believe the wet dream of GAYjin map designers is an open map with no cover where you can shoot spawn into spawn and just die and respawn constantly. And a little path for both sides that allows protected access to an area with cover from which you can also shoot into the enemy spawn.
If you look at World War Mode, thats basically what we got for maps with planes. Its ludicrous:

Hey Phly! About 3 years ago you made a video about the AMX-30B2 BRENUS and how it was one of the worst MBTs in the game. Well today the BRENUS has had quite a glow up, as it now boasts a pretty nice array of tools at the comfortable BR of 8.3, such as thermals, a laser rangefinder, IRCM, and a pretty nice lineup to back it up. So I encourage you to take a look at this underappreciated vehicle again (day 19)

Lol Russia has for a year their most advanced IRL advanced and attack chopper & AGTM, but the US can't get Longbow radar with fire and forget MMW (Milimeter Wave Radar) Hellfire.

try the su-7 with airburst S-3K rockets. Set it to 1000m and fire like 14 or all 28 of them from 1.8 to 1.2 km in head ons.
Kinda works like the S-24 airburst but way more spectacular.

btw phly if your trying to hit a plane you can be in third person and still acquire and hold a lock on their plane, makes it easier to keep your tracker facing them

A few tips, to make you become a better heli pilot.
Rule no.1) stay low and slow when engaging....
If you chill above the battlefield or just keep a distance of 2-3 km only, you are an easy target for higher br AA.
Rule no.2) keep your distance...
Use the helipad further away to spawn. Your vikhrs have 10km range.. USE IT.
Rule no.3) lock your target in 3rd person view....
Makes aiming much easier, and you dont have this little fire box, in which your target normally has to be, if you want to launch an atgm.
Rule no.4) learn to use the double hover tap..
In some situations, it's good to just tap the button for hovering, and then tap it again. You will see, that it is a good way to reduce speed.
Rule no.5) NEVER HOVER ..
Stay in full control, because you cant evade missiles, shells or whatever phlies towards you, we you stay in hover mode.
Rule no.6) use the terrain..
espacially mountains or hills give you a lot of cover (remember rule 1)

Virkhr is the most op weapon in the game ... No exeption what so ever because it will reach you if you are not behinc cover or have a missile that outreaches the virkhr or fly below 10 but thats hard and the missile still can hit you easely even then
@@muleyman68 10 metres if i flew 18 or 16 m it killed me and the missile didnt hit me directly but if i fly below 10 metres it doesnt work and i have a 50/50 chance that i get behind cover

I've mostly abandoned the usage my helicopters and I've been enjoying the game far more.
Russians in this game deserve to have the ka-50 and 52 to balance their nation because their CAS in this game are shit compared to the OP americans who have everything better in their entire tech tree

Helicopters are not enjoyable. They're cool, but they just make gameplay super bland. Hovering 8km away and tossing missiles until a phantom turnes you into the literal definition of swiss cheese.
Of course this is my opinion based off of first hand experience with them. They work REALLY well when you aren't stationary, and you are actively adjusting you position. I just don't find the super long distance game enjoyable to play. Sure, I bought the Ka-50 because it's low-key my favorite piece of military equipment in the world, but aside from that, it collects dust in my hangar. To each their own, at the end of the day.

You had the A-G Mode on, wich is air to ground. You need to switch the Radar to A-A Mode to see Planes. BTW this thing is OP as the rest of russian toys ATM.

Well the Launch Range should be the same as the Apache - 8 km Vikhir! If you fly high you can go range up to nearly 10 km!
