A great "shade tree" job well done. I was surprised that you remembered the heat shrink. It's the thing I always forget on the first go round. And a bonus 👏 for additional heat shrink for protection and gathering. Careful, a job to well done may cause you to loose your "shade tree" certificate.😅😅😅

Curious. Why not just USB connections. The DC adapter can fall out or fail. USBs seem like a more secure connection. I like three power connections on my bike the 'cig lighter", USB and SAE to cover all the bases.
Laptop. I need 12 volts - USV is 5 volts
That big clunky cigarette lighter power socket is deader than disco.
I think you'd like marine shrink tubing. It has an adhesive lining that melts as the tubing shrinks to produce a water tight seal.
The DAP ultra latex caulk is good for windows and doors, but 100% silicone sealant is much better in this application.
Two years ago, I made a sign that says, "DON'T BE AN ARROGANT CONDESCENDING KNOW-IT-ALL ASSHOLE." I hung in on the front of my laser printer so it was always in my line of sight when in my office, which is 90% of my waking life. As evidenced by my above suggestions, this is a work in progress for me.

I know this is a year old, but fof the next time.
Get an SAE bulkhead connector.
Then no matter how ugly you waller out that hole, theres a flat plate on the outside to cover it.
Seal underneath the flat plate.
Run an SAE cable under the seat that will reach the bag connector.
Now you can unplug at the bag to remove it.
Inside the bag, get a small terminal strip with compression terminals.
Connect the hot & ground from the SAE bulkhead connector to two terminals on the same side of the terminal strip.
From the hot, run short jumpers to hopscotch to either every other terminal, or set aside half for hit & half for grounds.
Do the jumper thing for the grounds too.
Take your cigarette plug and connect to 1 hot & 1 grnd.
Take an SAE and do the same, plug in an SAE to USB converter.
Add 12vdc gadgets as required.
Back in 2009 (unemployed, old laptop) I chased the ADVrider NC-Tag-o-rama with a 100 watt inverter connected to my power strip with the laptop power supply plugged in.
If my explaination isn't clear I'll send pics.

I was unaware of the SAE bulkhead connector until your comment - def do that next time!
I also got a cig plug socket w/ a mount & a spring loaded lid.
Mount to side (helps keep plugs in) vertically. Lid keeps out stuff.
That's just for stuff I have no other way to power.
