I am used to Shadow but not Moon
I'm with you. I have to really concentrate on who's who when they use their new names. Red & Teal, which dog they're referring to is instantly recognizable. Every time I hear "Moon" I think for a minute they're referring to Mr. Moo/Yellow.
I feel like River was such a perfect name for him.

Maria has a job outside the house if I'm not mistaken so they were probably the ones around to take him to the vet, alot of people with 8-5 jobs needs help with out of the blue vet trips and all like this

@@NovaDisorder But this wasn't an emergency. The dog wasn't bleeding or in distress. It's like taking your kid to the ER for a skinned knee. Most vets in my experience do have weekend and evening hours. especially city vets. He even said the staples weren't necessary. He did all that for views.

River does not fit him at all! lol And I was the one that came up with it but when I kept saying it I felt it does not fit him but I was trying to think of nature/natural things but I could not think of anything that fits him. But when Joey said Shadow I was like oh wow that fits but so does Lunar which I saw in the comment section and both names go better with their dogs names

This is the ONE instance where having all that done to him was so unnecessary. I don't get why your vet would put a young pup through the trauma and pain of staples for a cut that small. First off usually wounds like that should be allowed to BREATHE so its odd they would staple that sort of wound (its overkill and not recommended). With my patients we would flush the area, send you home with a flush system, antibiotic ointment, as well as an oral antibiotic. There was no reason for the staples and actually isn't recommended for a wound of that nature. It is just causing the puppy unnecessary pain for absolutely no reason. (DVM for 15 years).
Vet Tech here, I was thinking the SAME THING! Honestly, I thought maybe he misunderstood or the vet misspoke because SURELY they weren't going to put staples in that pup's face. He's a young healthy dog. A little chlorhexidine flush and an oral antibiotic, it would have been healed in a few days: no sedation or staples needed!

My dog was cut way worse and deeper before and I thought my vet would say stitches or staples but she said no just wrap it and ointment and he was fine. That cut is so very minor to my dogs that time too lol
Omg , Joey was simply doing as his vet instructed Joey has had dogs for many years now and Iâm pretty sure he would take shadow aka (red) to a vet he trust, you canât decide what treatment a dog should be given based off a CZcams video , Iâm sure the doctors who actually inspected the cut in real life knew what treatment was best for shadows specific injury

C D I agree I know these are from a week ago but still. Idk why they just leave them outside all day then put them in the garage at night. They need to get potty trained and that wonât happen if they can go potty all day outside.

Just as a suggestion: please look into littermate syndrome especially between males and train them accordingly to prevent certain personality traits and behavior from happening! / conflicts
Angelica D I donât think they know what they are putting themselves into. Itâs always good to try and somewhat even things out thatâs why I have two border collies one male one female and one male Jack Russell. In a way I knew how they would act and I trained them in such a way. My male border collie is playful yet shy while my female is still a puppy but is very hyper and obedient and my Jack Russell is the alpha and acts like his Godzilla. my Jack Russell is the alpha and if he feels the others need to be put in their place he donât hesitate.Thatâs the job he took and if my puppy tryâs to over power him I correct her so she knows he is the alpha. Idk if this makes any sense but it keeps them from fighting. Itâs gonna be very hard for them if they donât do something soon cause those are hyper dogs and all of them are big. They really need to lay some ground rules down for them instead of what Iâm seeing which is letting them do whatever and watching them. They need more than that. They need to be mentally stimulated and trained and socialized. I absolutely love watching their videos but they really need to start training them before they figure it out own there own and thatâs most likely ainât gonna end well.

i like how he took shadow to the emergency vet for a wound but my mom being mexican would of went to the store to buy something to heal the wound because the vet is to expensive
A lot of the time you can, my mum used stuff from the store to cure our animals and they always worked

I'm a good breeder for police dogs, and tbh I've kinda been wondering how careful is Joey with puppy play fighting. He really really has to continue keeping a strict eye on the little guys cuz they don't understand how hard they are jumping playing and moving so sometime fighting becomes too hard even when they are instigating it! I loved socializing my puppies at meals and park walk during fetch but not indoor because it's too small and they get bored and too rambunctious :( Good Luck Joey!
Good tip: Tire them out and then they can hangout together.
Christina Belmares itâs always good to tire them out before going places too. I have border collies and if I bring them to the vet or to petco I always have them play first. They listen better to commands. But also they are border collies and some how find energy from god knows where.
