  • Project 2000 Lift Bed system full installation process.
This is a guide as to how we installed our electric lift bed in our VW Crafter Campervan conversion. (Same as Happi Jack lift bed).
This isn't manufacturers installation but how we have chosen to install the system in our campervan. It creates a MWB Crafter which sleeps 4 and maintains the space when the bed is not in use.
Check out our other videos to see the full van tour and build.

Thank you for your comments, we are very pleased that you like it.
It really does work well and feels quite spacious with having different areas to relax in, the kitchen works so well, we have cooked 2 Christmas dinners in it now 😍
We do need to do a final video as it is 100% finished now.
We’re just back from a winter trip in the Swiss alps and it was toasty and warm, having the shower/wc as a drying room is brilliant.

Hi I would like to commend you for this video and your time, effort and patience not to mention your skills in completing this cracking job seriously well done. We have one bed of what looks to be exactly the same in our coach built motorhome and it has been wonderful up until we hit a ramp coming off a ferry and the whole bed jumped and broke the rollers and brackets that run in the slide guides. I cannot find where to buy replacement the grey coloured rollers 4 off. You'll be more familiar with these than me since you built yours> these are a push fit on each end of the slider that keeps the bed parallel and secure while moving ascending and descending. I have learned after research that there should be a seat belt type securing buckles while travelling mine has none? Any help will be most welcome in where I can purchase replacement parts. We live in Ireland.

I also want to have the same lift bed as you. Can you do another video explaining where the bed weight is supported? I can see you have the rail on your shower wall and on your kitchen divider part. Where are the load points? For my setup we would be sleeping length ways as I am 6.1” and can’t sleep sideways. We want to put the lift in a Fiat Ducato L4H3 or similar. I’ll be interested to know more about your dimensions for your seat cushion also 😊

Both pods maybe better for you, you can fit windows in them, I did see recently on the FB Crafter forum a pod that pushes out for sleeping, not sure who makes it ?
What is great about the pods is you get an additional shelf internally which is really helpful.

Nice solution! I just built in this liftbed myself. I have one small issue. Maybe you know this? You can change the max ascent and descent. I solved ascent (+ is higher max - is lower max). But I can't get max descent set up. Is - lower minimum or less low minimum?
