      back in 2016 in Seam Reip, there was a shoe shop that sold either factory seconds (very minor defects in workmanship) , and/or shoes there was five finger discounted from the shoes factories there.
      I was able to get some decent keen brand water shoe, but other brands were available too (i think, Nike, Puma, etc).
      But yes, generally its hard to find 9+ sized shoes in SEA in general, so its best to bring them with you.

    I always like the Aussie product shops here in PP - full of all those Anko products from K-Mart. Good bed sheets can be found in PP (in the malls), but much more expensive. I also found that after 16 years here, there is very little that I actually need from "back home", if there is such a place now.

    Hi Jeremy & Claire 😊, welcome back to the Kingdom of Wonder 🙏, hope you had a nice visit back home , I have to admit , I'm no expert when it comes to armpits 😊, but if you're itching there , in this heat , not a good thing , in fact , if you are itching anywhere on your body , in this tropical climate , address the issue immediately 😊, I myself use the deodorant NIVEA , which I believe is a deodorant made for women , manufactured in Hamburg , but available all over Cambodia , been using it since 2016 , cost around $1.50 to $1.70 US , it's a roll on , white in color , never had a problem , Jeremy & Claire 😊, always a pleasure catching up with you both , and rumor has it , a get together may be in the works for the not too distant future 🤔, one can only hope 😊, take care , stay safe , and Jeremy , you be careful handling Mr. Rubby ! 🤣

    K-Mart (and Target) in Oz have become staggeringly cheap. My Mrs bought a bunch of sandals in Target for $0.65 each. They were just clearing stock, I guess.
    Additionally, whilst not always the most fashionable, the t-shirts and jeans in K-mart are phenomenally priced - and they have big boy sizes.
    Funnily enough, we are planning a trip back to Cambodia to stock up on Kampot pepper and that awesome cherry infused coffee. We can't get either where we are.

    Based on my personal experience since moving to Cambodia, I would suggest bringing some pants and shorts that are two sizes smaller than you normally wear because you WILL lose weight. All my pants are at least two sizes too small now and I will have to replace and alter what I brought! And it only took two months to lose about 25 lbs! It is very hot here and also your diet will change if you eat more local foods and it isn't the high carb diet that you have been used to.

    hi Claire & Jeremy, that was a surprise that bit of deco falling down throughout an excellent show, all part of the fun👍. Does that big Nivea bottle just a moisturiser or a suncream? Here in the UK, never seen those big bottles with a pump from Nivea.

    • @ForRiel
      @ForRiel  Před 24 dny +1

      Yes, suncream. Really good value at that size, and definitely worth bringing due to how expensive suncream is here. Locals tend to just cover up instead. Thanks for watching!

    I couldn’t find a pumice stone when I was back there but I bought walking shoes because they are so comfortable and that is my favourite crocs style which I didn’t replace and my pair here broke 3 days after I got back from Australia. So that is on the list for next time. I also bought vitamins and electrolytes because I can’t stand Royal D and vitamins are mega expensive here. And hair colour that doesn’t have ammonia in it and yes, I brought back my favourite deodorant (Moogoo brand). The deodorants here smell atrocious and have the consistency of diluted honey. Although I have since found some nice natural ones locally made.

    • @ForRiel
      @ForRiel  Před 24 dny +1

      I hate the way those Crocs just break with no warning whatsoever. 😭 I just love the style so much. The pumice we bought seems to be some weird reconstituted material that is half soap. I left it on the vanity overnight and by morning it was stuck fast. I had to soak it off. Next time I'll go for one of those long foot files instead. Hope you're going well!

    Great video what about electric pressure cook ,you didn't bring voltage converter. I know frequency converter is expensive. I am very interested in electric pressure cook did they have in siem reap??

    • @ForRiel
      @ForRiel  Před 14 dny

      They have almost everything you need or can be brought in Thailand. We have never worried about current converters anywhere we have travelled, never had a problem so far.

    Wow excess baggage cost you can take the Aussie out of the country but you can't take Aussie out of the Aussie

      We only went to Australia with carry on, as we fly Airasia as it's the cheapest. So had to pay $100 extra for the two 20kg checked luggage. All up our total flight cost was $1000 AUD return for both of us, winning!!!

    Hi, love your vlogs. A couple of questions for you. I believe you said you brought 40 kilos of merchandise from Australia and Malaysia to Cambodia. I'm curious, did you ship the merchandise using your airline luggage allowance, or did you use boxes and ship as air cargo. My second question, did Cambodian Customs charge duty on the stuff you shipped. Thanks

    • @ForRiel
      @ForRiel  Před 22 dny

      Yes it was just our luggage allowance so no need for customs or anything like that. No additional charges as it's all for personal use.

    • @ForRiel
      @ForRiel  Před 26 dny +3

      Technical most things we bought back were actual things we needed. You can get practically anything you want here just some things are more expensive.
      Main things to bring
      A unlocked phone
      Summer clothes (aka quick dry)
      Patience
      Sunscreen
      An open mind
      Sence of humour
