    The Mummy had an impeccable Sofia Boutella, Tom Cruise doing his usual magic, making a character with little (if any) redeeming qualities somewhat charming, and Russel Crowe is just a riot to see.
    Oh, and there was the idea of the most iconic movie monsters coming to life together.
    Honestly, it's kind of amazing that they managed to screw all of that so thoroughly.

    Legion is a frikkin good horror B-Movie (I give it a solid 7/10). The "sequel" TV series loosely based on it, Dominion, was pretty good as well. The movie is more a character study. Seeing how different characters, from different backgrounds, react and deal with a situation than it is a more traditional horror. The film is highly underrated.

    I'm seriously wondering if it's just one writer that hates the FNAF movie. Even if it's more than one, they clearly have no idea why people love/like the games. Everything they say as a "negative" here, and in other videos, is what fans of the games wanted to see. Plus, you know, it was the highest grossing horror movie last year, so yeah.

    • @Dabbewear8382

    • @themantyf1116
      @themantyf1116 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Not really, though. The core of the games is the tension of the stalking animatronics, a relentless force that can't be reasoned with, and that can't really be opposed, as all you can do is hide and hold your ground, with no way of fighting back.
      Instead the movie turned them more into guardian angels and addictive presence, which really isn't what they are supposed to be. Added to it was a disconnected script that was banking more on brand recognition than anything, with a lot of winks thrown in inorganically.
      It grossed due to the IP, but honestly coming after two movies about animatronics going into a murderous spree, it's weird that the one movie that should have been about it avoided it completely.

    • @BloodyBay
      @BloodyBay Před 3 měsíci +1

      That scene where Jekyll turns into Hyde (and the Tom Cruise Protagonist du Jour suddenly finds himself trapped in a room with a relentless human Id Monster) leaves me wanting Russell Crowe to get signed on for a 'Jekyll and Hyde' trilogy myself. Sometimes, the worst enemy people can face is the Enemy Within, and that takes on a more literal meaning when Hyde's involved. 🤔

    • @RictusHolloweye
      @RictusHolloweye Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@BloodyBay - Crowe gave a masterful performance, but it really was just a distraction in this movie. Also the idea that he has to inject himself every couple of minutes comes across as a plot convenience just to ensure we got a moment of Hyde.

It was supposed to kick off the "Dark Universe" which would have gave us an opportunity to see some amazing stuff. It's failure put a halt to all that. It looks like a Van Helsing is in production. Hopefully they find a different director for it and don't screw it up like the abomination they created.

    Please keep the "like and subscribes" to the end or the beginning of the videos. This hap-hazard way of putting them in anywhere in the script is just wrong. It feels gross. I'm thinking of unsubbing just to stop hearing it.

    *WhatCulture Horror:* "10 Awesome Horror Villains Trapped in TERRIBLE Movies!!! And here's a thumbnail of Ahmanet in 'The Mummy!'"
    *Me:* "It's a trick. They're going to show *_Mr. Hyde_* instead! Ahmanet was a bit weak, but that scene where Jekyll _becomes_ Hyde? Chills! Master Class acting from Russell Crowe there!"
    *WhatCulture Horror:* * actually *_DOES_* make Ahmanet in 'The Mummy' the #1 slot, and completely snubs Mr. Hyde * "She's basically the *_ONLY_* memorable part of 'The Mummy!"
    *Me:* * profound disappointment *

    The fact that there was a CZcams found footage film for Slenderman made YEARS before the actual movie and it was 100% better than the official movie should tell you how god awful the studio did with making the movie

    So called critics obviously don't know what we like. You guys should make a horror movie considering how much shit you talk about these fun movies. I critique you lot for being so uninspired that ya'll just shit on good movies for internet points, only thing is everyone disagrees with you.
