I remember Dead shows in NY. And NJ. back in the late 70s and 80s. I grew up in NJ. Saw a few dozen shows up and down the coast. Never forget the fun times ! Now, I'm in Central WA. and The Dead and co. will be at the "Gorge" I'm not gonna miss it ! Live Life Today.
Mayer was meant for this band, I don't think he has ever sounded better. Imagine what it would sound like if Jerry & Mayer were playin together ? GEEZ

it's not on camera- the opening notes (for the song shakedown) was timed (just) so that like 3-4 airplanes few directly over the stage... was freaking awesome! LOL unreal performance, prayers going out to: john's back issue/strain, hope it all works out
One of my favorite parts of these videos is the shots of the old fks in the front few rows…some maybe even older than I am, all of us having our second hippiehood. I’ll miss these guys, but at least they’re going out at the top of their game.
This slowed down groove of this song is, nice I can dig this too! But I did like the picked up funky beat of the original!

This is a needlessly long, indulgent, and boring version of a dubious song in the otherwise great catalog. Bertha also seems perfunctory. Seems like this band is running its course. The countless local tribute bands are nailing it better. John is fantastic and so far this performance is perhaps just warming up.
