What i think is that the books has some kind of heat thing inside so it gets worm and the glass breaks.

I think you would feel the heat if it's warm enough to make glass shatter. There are other tricks with a glass that breaks and it includes a mechanical device that breaks the glass but is pretty much invisible. Perhaps that's what happened here, too.
