RIP - So many notable classics. The beats live on 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Word! Can’t believe he died. Really wasn’t a nice guy, though, if you ever spoke to him during one of his streams. All anybody ever wanted to do was talk shop, but he somewhat rudely refused to talk about music-making. Anything else was okay. He loved the show “Austin and Ally,” however, which made everybody laugh when we thought what what would’ve happened if he’d composed the show’s music! He really looked like shit during the last few years, so his death wasn’t really a big surprise. Fucking legend! Peace.
@@MuzikJunky "Can't believe he died"..."His death wasn't really a big surprise"... cognitive dissonance 101 😂
🙏👍
@@MuzikJunkyIf he didn’t wanna talk about how he made music so be it.
@@williamperri3437: MuzikJunkie said that it was during streams online. Fans want to talk about his music making the MOST.
45 King had his reasons, I am sure.
Yo! Didn't know he did STAN! Big props to him!
Right !!!!!
Yo Word!!! That shit blew my fucking mind!! I was like: That was Him??????????
He’s a legend
Yeah I thought Eminem produced that song
Nice these are dope as hell
The Annie flip is one of the most genius samples in the history of sampling.
In 1993 the 45 King produced a track called "Brainstorm" for a rapper named Latee. The first pressing of that record, if you're lucky enough to find it, sells for close to $1,000 on the internet. Only 50 copies were made. That "Brainstorm" track will always be my favorite 45 King track.
That track is HOT!
Flavor Unit
Latte this cuts got flava to this day is my💩💩💩 I'm messed up he's gone🕊🕊🕯🕯
My first Dj, the man who taught me how to flow and become an Emcee 1977 bx Sonic Sound Crew Thank you, Mark Howard James 🙏🏾

My fav, these or their top 45 king beat not mines dope compilation( “kick the ballistics” is one though)
R.I.P. definitely is one of my favorite producers. Sad to hear we won’t be getting any more gems from this Legend.
900 number blew me away when I first heard it in the 80's. Didn't know he produced so many other gems. Legend....R.I.P
Dont forget hes done production for Queen Latifah, Gang Starr, Eric B & Rakim, MC Lyte....
This Grandfather do music more beter the 95% then all other Hip-Hip producer.Hi is real master.Hi so long time in the GAME
What production has 45 King done for Gang Starr?
@@messiahblack2295 He remix a song for their first Album.I forgot which one
Serious?
UNiTY and Just another day ?
900 Number and Wrath of My Madness on my forever playlist. Rest in love, Mark🎶
Queens 1st album is a complete classic. His 1st big project. I liked ladies 1st, dance for me and king and queen creation ❤
He also did Big Daddy Kane’s Set it off on his Album.
Kane and Biz Markie DJ Cool V confirmed it.
STAN blew me away!! I had NO idea. Also the X-Clan beat. I knew he always laced Latifah but I didnt know he was behind so many other hits. So sad he's no longer with us, but super props to this guy!
Was about to say the same thing!
If Stan is your #2 beat, you good money for life.
hard knock life is solid and iconic but stan is more stunning definitely every producer masterpiece
RIP…Thank you for sharing your gift with us in Hip Hop..🙏🏾🕊
He was one of my favorites!! Rip 45 🤴🏾
ALL HAIL DJ MARK THE 45 KING of hip hop. Tuff City fo life. Rest easy King.
Mark The 45 King, I can I describe him, he was the Dr.Dre before Dre, he was the Alchemist before the Alchemist, & certainly 9th Wonder before 9th. If you listen to DJ Kool's "Let Me Clear My Throat" beat....it was Mark's beat first. He did that back in 87' or 88'. The song called 'The 900 Number"....go back ^ check him out....So before you think of DJ Kool "Let Me Clear My Throat" & "MTV Raps Ed Lover Dance Beat". Just remember Mark The 45 King did it first...
💯🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
All facts brother 👍🏾
@@jimmy_b_wp Thanks for the thumbs up....
I def slept on 45 King
@@jackedkerouac4414 Yes ...Mark was so dope with his production.....one of my favorites
Yessir .. 45 king and marley marl in the 80s era were top notch. Even prince Paul. But yrs 45king was legendary. His work with latifah , lakim Shabazz and chill rob g is definitely underated . Yep and u got hip to 900 number 1st on yo mtv raps as there theme music for the show 🎉🎉 I hated that dj kool version. It was corny to me. U could never pin point 45 king style esp in the 90s on bc he was very versatile
#10 Analyze 0:02
#9 Heed the word of the Brother 1:18
#8 Name calling 2:33
#7 kick the ballistics 3:56
#6 Evergreen 4:51
What’s Evergreen from?
Kick The Ballistics will always be that dope ass hip hop beat. RIP to the hermit of hip hop!
RIP MY BRONX BROTHER. THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC! YOU ARE A TRUE PIONEER❤
Nice to see 45 king getting some love here. It’s a crime there’s nothing from the queen latifah album. At the very least 2 of those tracks should be listed here
💯💯💯
900 number is in there
Come into my House is Queen Latifah’s best song.
Right? That album set it off. Actually her 1st singles wrath of a madness and princess of the posse b4 the album even came out. Also not mentioned is his work with lakim Shabazz, chill rob g and apache. 45 was the nucleus of flavor unit ❤
Mark was a really good dude. I miss him already. RIP 45 King.
And those t-shirts were fire, my friend.
RIP TO A LEGEND ...THE 45 KING

RIP King 👊🏽💪🏽🙏🏽
"Let the words flow" should have made it on that list
Chill rob g
R🕊️P Mark 45 King🕊️🕊️
Damn he got 3 hip hop bangers legend
While it's hard to argue against "Hard Knock Life," I could ...I will argue 900 Number was a cultural phenom! When it was played at clubs or on Wednesdays on Yo MTV Raps, people went nuts! Also, this is a good list. I would also argue some of Queen Latifah's music should be on here. Still, great list
The track Name Calling is Queen Latifah's
Agreed. Remember lakim Shabazz and chill rob g too during those times 45 dropped dope beats for them as they all shared the same label wild pitch. I liked ride the rhythm, pure righteousness, blk is back , I got the power . Classic jams
Yes 900 # was a creative one. It was actually a james brown horn track and 45 added the boom bap drums and hi hat and chopped the speed and slowed the horns down 🎉
I love it but for me you left out
Pure Righteousness
Raw Dope Rhymes
Let The Words Flow
Wake Up
Court Is Now In Session
We Got The Funk
Spread Love
King And Queen Creation
and my favorite…….
Smooth Yet Hard

Good List and R.I.P. to a legend. I just wish the title and name of artist for left on screen the whole time so it made it easier to identify each song better.
