When an equal time spent with a snowblower would have been more productive? It looks like the grader was having to improvise and was a bit too big for the task, maybe more of a highway plow than a country road plow.
You use what is available, and with the cheap cost the RM gives to its ratepayers its easily the cheapest wide road money can pay for. Thanks for watching.
Well I’m not sure where this is located but up here in Saskatchewan it’s mandatory to use graders because we can get so much snow that we need a V plow to burst through spots. But the grader is stronger and faster at moving snow. In my opinion..... I find with either a V plow or straight blade is more effective pushing up the intersections like that even with articulation that’s is the #1 thing that helps so much
That was very good technique and use of a one way nose with wing. As I watched him with that machine maneuver to clear and push back that intersection and corner I could see myself doing the same and a one way is hard to beat when it comes to pushing back intersections and overall performance. A v-plow has its advantages but can't compete with a one way in cleaning up and you would mostly be carrying it around unless it was a major drift then a blower would be needed if it was to much, a skilled operator will find a way to make a one way Excell in drifts as well as a v-nose.
Awesome video! Great shot

Where's the sound?!
The drone noise is all you would here. Too bad because sound would be sweet
