@@gaffle-411 Hi mister radio man can I ask you if Garth (Fat man) is still kicking, DJ of the 1994 SoBe he worked on collins ave. Also if you can give a shout out to Fonki Cheff. He is a wonderful DJ from Spain.
Honestly haven’t listened to this in forever. 40 now, but it’s so nostalgic how mesmerized I was by this track and how the beat shifted and the lyrics changed. To this day it is still a masterpiece and I get somewhat emotional when the track changes around 2:54. Just loved that sound
I had two broken legs summer of 94 when this came out. I stayed high as hell on weed and darvoset's. I just want to thank Pharcyde for being there for me! I am stronger now because of that. I know I would not have made it with them and Souls of Mischief. Black Moon and weed.
I got this album when I was 10 from the Columbia House 10 cds for 2 bucks deal. No idea what I was doing selecting 10 rap albums and when they came it was insane. Really shouldn’t have been listening to this and The Chronic, but thanks mom and dad for the lack of Parental Supervision!
Between this and Souls of Mischief I played both albums non-stop. I always preferred their sounds over what Death Row was putting out around the same time.
I would like to highlight Pharcyde's HUGE contribution to music "in general" (not surprisingly also sampled by Potishead): an incredible record, certainly a cornerstone of hip Hop, but which has managed to influence beyond. Today, at 30 years of teaching, this album is still a very enjoyable and rich dose of inspiration for new musicians. If it still manages to surprise today, at the time it was real dynamite. Absolutely amazing.
I only got this album in 94 for Christmas, back before the Internet. They were great times, having this on cassette was so helpful for my teenage soul. Got me through some heartache, which not many hiphop albums can...

One of the best HipHop albums ever made!!!
The nostalgia and vibes off this whole album is beautiful. Youthful energies.

Did anyone notice that "da dada daah" @ 2:02? For some reason I think it's brilliantly placed!

The album’s filled with moments like that
Spaceman You know, I gotta agree with that!😊
I was three years old in 1992 and man I feel old
I remember the summer i got turned on to this album, the CD stayed in my player for 4 months. Real fuckin hip hop.
I'll be seeing these guys live tonight! (4/20/22)
I’d see house dance cyphers at the raves this came on and my mind was fucked and mezmorized to just the beat.
Highschool dayz
…….Classic & Nostalgic
Best with Headphones 🎧 for The Real Full Effect….. & Vivid Psychedelic left to right Sound. 👍🏽
Hearing the beat go back n forth between ears while wearing earbuds is hella trippy
