So glad this guy didn't give up and continued to repost this until it won, so so happy and hyped this is finally coming out, actually gonna buy this after so many skips this year...
At 5:25, you can see a new piece. It's a string attached to a ball joint.
That piece is not new, but a reuse of the piece used in city fire truck sets. I actually have this piece. Used it for a lawnmower pull string 😁

yeah that's....pretty friggin great. Jaws is in my top 10 favorite movies, and this gives me the correct "feeling" for a LEGO set based on that movie.

Compared to a standard LEGO shark, this shark looks like a megalodon.

@@spencer_fife_and_drum_john9152 most horror movies are rated r, so that seems very unlikely, although it shouldn’t be because they have 18+. Lego’s reasons for not doing actual 18+ sets, whatever they are, are probably not very good.

Really weird seeing all the people in the comments calling Jaws an "adult IP". Like sure Jaws is technically a horror movie but it's not like it is a hard R horror movie. There's a reason it became the highest grossing movie of all time when it was released and that was because it was super accessible to a wide audience.
True back then children were allowed to watch a man get bit in half. Today we be calling the police.
70s PG was different. Hell they had to reclassify Romeo and Juliet 1968 (with Juliets nude scene) from G to PG in 1973. PG in the 70s meant T&A and pools of blood. Lol

I'm so glad they made it a diorama set. Hope the ET one gets selected and made into one too. We need more dioramas other than Star Wars ones. I'm just annoyed that Indiana Jones is the odd one out that doesn't have a "Lego Indiana Jones" tile on the front now.
The shark looks a bit off. I hope someone will work out a fix for the eyes and maybe the dorsal fin as well

Yeah, I agree. After seeing what the initial shark design was on Lego Ideas, this new one looks horrible IMO.
I would love to see more movie dioramas with LEGO ideas such as ET, Goonies, ghostbusters, and more, I would love for them to also include a Lego version of the original movie poster as a sticker or printed piece

I remember when I was little, I found a vhs tape of jaws at an estate sale. I watched it with my family and the next day at the breakfast table, i made the Orca, the shark and shark cage out of random lego bricks. My parents insisted that I send in my model to the lego company, but I never did.
I'm still kicking myself for it.

It looks great but I wish they hadn’t reduced the size of the Orca so much just to squeeze it onto a display base. The original idea was far more accurate to the real ship.

I’m definitely gonna be getting this day 1! I love Jaws, it’s one of my favorite films. The shark looks really good, and the boat looks really good! Minifigures are awesome as well.
I'm very excited to get this set. I'm currently rearranging my room, and this'll be a perfect first display piece to go with it.

This is a must buy for me it captures so much of the best qualities of the film plus you can display the entire shark on its own just great 👍 can’t wait
Love the Orca, the mini figs look great, glad Brody is with and without his glasses, on to the star of the show, to use a phrase used a lot while filming "the sharks not working " where is the top of his dorsal fin? It's almost as if they were afraid to make it look to realistic, we know that Lego can do animals and fishes so much better than this, no doubt expert builders are working on making it more accurate as we speak. I'm still getting it, just surprised they didn't wait until next year, the 50th anniversary!

I remembered a couple years ago when Lego said they didn't want to make Jedi Fallen Order sets cause it's too violent, now look at what set they just revealed 😂

It's funny back in 2000 when they did a Lego Spielberg, and they had sets and images that referenced his films, and now we are finally getting those films officially as sets. I think an E.T. diorama is the next one that we need. I know there was the 80s ideas vote. I picked Beetlejuice because I like my Tim Burton stuff, bring on the NBC set reveal!

I thought it was just gonna be the boat and the shark just there separately, not able to do anything with them. But the diorama with the water and everything looks so cool and makes much more sense

This is going to be my first set outside of OT Star Wars. I have limited display space, but this is totally worth it.
Bruce's first dorsal fin looks a bit off, but thats a very minor issue to a near perfect set, at least in my opinion.

I saw raiders of the lost ark when I was a kid, don’t really remember anything that happened but I remember loving it. That being said, I’ve never seen jaws but I’d honestly probably pick the jaws set because I think it just looks really good

The island depicted on the map is Martha's Vineyard, the real island where Jaws was filmed.
These idea sets look dope. I’m hoping this means we’ll be getting different sets from different iconic movies or tv shows. Maybe this could mean we can get a breaking bad Lego set
