Chips have become expensive. The microchip markets are bleeding due to global shortages. Add inflation and you got a bomb. Think about it. Prices are increase to decrease demand. Basic economics... Supply = Demand... If one exceeds the other, a new balance has to emerge. Shortage of market chips, increases micro chips, making cars more expensive to produce so the demand for cars goes does. These processors are from the same source devoid of the car make/ manufacturer and they cost less than R500 each. The difference is application and circuitry involved. South Africans are being taken for a ride by all dealerships. Cars manufactured in SA and exported globally are cheaper than here by a wide margin. The Chinese are sussing the waters and soon they will be demanding same as other manufacturers.

Got an incredible deal to trade in my H6 SL for the GT! For me the GT is just a better car. Glad to have got rid of the disastrous piano black interior trim which show every scratch and bit of dirt. The GT feels far more balanced on the road with far less body roll. Exterior far exceeds the standard H6 - let’s be honest. And lastly the H6 or the H6 GT are both still value proposition products, so each to their own

The big saving comes when I drive on the highway, that’s when I average 6.8 to 7.5 at highway speeds of between 100 and 115
I drive a Jolion was in an accident 22August till today I've been waiting for parts. I'm sad about it shame cause I was in love with it. Definitely going back to my other brands. Hubby bought me a picanto and I'm the happiest
Great Review Muzi. I was a fan of the brand before I watched this video but not anymore. When Haval introduced introduced this H6 it had a starting price of R419K and that was not long ago. That was was the main talking point that even entry level came with a lot of spec. What the hell happened. Over R600k hayi ngeke that's too soon for them .
You're telling the truth... even if I have R600k to spend on a car, definitely 100% won't spend it on a Haval because I can get a much better brand car. Haval should have gone the VW route, make your cars affordable, build a market and then you can increase a bit by bit.

@@neptunia4551 you know I was saying the same thing to a buddy of mine. I've been with Honda since 2016 and to-date I have never had a reliability issue. Yes the car parts are expensive, but it's a once in a while expense which is quite honestly worth it!
Haval is not THAT new. They've been going for more than 5 years already. I personally am on my second Haval now and I have better reliability and fewer issues than with my other, more established car brands. In fact, I've had zero issues thus far with Haval. When servicing the car, also no hassles; quick, easy and great after sales service. I do not think you need to wait another 5 years before you consider getting one, and also remember that once they are well established, they are going to have more established pricing as well.

Hyundai used to be that cheap good value car when they came to SA many years ago but now they want to compete against Toyota and VW. Haval might go down that road too
Muzi, i get that the GT is little more than a cosmetic makeover but still, its a decent GT car if youre into that sort of thing and dont have Porche money. Also the Swift sport is my dream car so that hurt😅, i know its not a rational purchase, its an emotional one, which is what all sports cars are emotional, unlike others in its class its cheaper, more practical and less likely to die before 50k because the transmission decided to die(they know who they are and ill leave it at that). The H6 hybrid is better specced than the Rav4 hybrid so the price is kind of justified. Finally car prices all around are going up so im not surprised that Haval has raised prices but i do agree with you if Haval isnt careful they will price themselves out the market, they are just lucky that th usual suspects are already increasing their already high prices.

Remember it's not the 1st haval. The old havals are still around but I'm not saying you are wrong.
Bad comparison. Haval has been around for several years already, and I haven't seen any of their cars looking like they've been hit by earthquake. With Inyathi I agree.
