mannnn. ive been throwing 175 drivers for 11 years now, last year i finally passed the 450ft mark. and this video made me purchase a 171 destroyer and wraith lol. .

And 175g pd2 discmania.
My 175 halo destroyer only likes to go about 420 max. I don't know why. But we'll see when the light weight comes in
I believe Paul McBeth, Philo, and I'm sure there are more who also will cary 160s discs too, if the stability is right.
@@Senigar953 makes sense since they have a bit weaker shots. Simon is my favorite player and he throws 175. I gotta stop doing that lol and throw what's right for me
@@pjdiscgolf8742 uh, McBeast has a weaker shot eh... Bold statement. Maybe he doesn't break 80 mph but his elbow also isnt hurt from all power all the time like Simon. I'd bet McBeth can top 70 mph if he wanted too but that's gotta be exhausting to do that all round. Take a few grams off, make it easier, still win.

I fan grip mine, is there something really weird with that? Like genuinly curious 😅 Started switching to fan grip to minimize griplocks, and before I knew it I was using it for mids, fairways and drivers

They've been out of over a month. Great putter both throwing and putting. Was hooked on Ions soft and I quickly ditched them for these Penrose after a couple of rounds!
I love that most of his discs have cool stamps and you can see that he wants his discs to be something special.
I bought a mystery box of discs a few months ago, and I have to say that the EV-7 Phi has quickly taken the spot of my Aviar. I would highly recommend it to beginners like me

Nice video! been waiting for this. Question: do you finish your discs with sandpaper, getting out rough edges or so?
If you have a divot or chunk, use a standard polyester towel, folded over a couple times, and rub it on the spot. It will take the rough edge out without removing material from the disc.
I know that Joel Freeman uses a small piece of window screen to get those chunks and rough edges out and I have started doing that as well and I love that it works without taking off as much as sandpaper does.
@@michaelblair7141 no need for a screen. A towel rubbed quickly on the rim will heat the plastic and melt off any irregularities

You said OG Hard for the Penrose putter, is that a special blend? EV-7 doesn't mention it on their site.

@@DrewGibson OG Firm for throwing and OG Soft for putting! Got three softs and 2 firms. Unless my form is way off these things always finish left and always want to get down and stay down! Putting they seems to glide and very forgiving! Been using them for a month love them!

You're supposed to have a marking on the top of the disc for identification. Nikko has been penalized for this before.

@@austinthrowsstuff the disc needs identifiable markings on the top and bottom so you can easily determine the correct disc if all things are equal.

@@austinthrowsstuff players do. But many players also don't follow most of the rules that are unenforced(including, but not limited to, watching each other throw, time limits for making a throw, etc) It's rule 813.01F "all discs must be uniquely marked"
