Great singing and conducting... and Mireille Delunsch is a wonderful comedienne. I love at 2:39 when she's looking at the music that's she's ripped from her dress and she realizes it's upside down and flips it over, singing the same note an octave lower as if she'd read it wrong - brilliant and clever staging!

Rameau fighting from the traditionalist camp, comes out with this French comic opera, much in the Italian style, and here he's making fun of the long and exaggerated vocalizations of the Italian style.

Pensez que le maquillage des chanteurs et comédiens n'est pas fait en premier lieu pour la vidéo et les gros plans, mais pour les gens dans la salle... il est donc normal que les expressions soient exagérées.

Spectacle complet. Ne pas oublier que Platée est une comédie. La musique classique sait aussi être comique et déjantée. Pour moi c'est tout bon!
