  • I always find film photography to be interesting. I grew up with it. My childhood photos are all developed from film. There is this sense of warmth that the digital can only come as close.
    And because the market in film photography has been restarting, I tried to get my hands into film myself and join the fun!
    NOTE: If you are not satisfied with my review and if you are not convinced yet to start film photography with this camera, then let me tell you that I have been playing with an old vintage film camera which I will review once I'm fully satisfied with it!

    A good tip for using this camera: even without the battery in, if you turn the flash switch on, it opens up the aperture a bit, letting in more light, which can be useful for outdoor shooting without good sunlight.

    thank you for this fruitful review! I'm a newbie in film photography and I'm in the process of finding a perfect film cam for beginners which is also affordable. kodak m38 was one of my choices and its very helpful watching this kind of guide, so far the best I've watched. plus the editing, music even the photos are relaxing!

      Thaankks!! 😻 In full disclosure, I've recently tried a vintage cam I bought in the marketplace that has better clarity and light exposure (3500 pesos only). Reason why I'm still keeping this is because 1. It's brand new.. meaning, the vintage cams you can get can die anytime while this one is fresh from the box and 2. Since I go out of town often pre-pandemic (e.g. going to beaches and mountains), I would be confident to use this in extreme conditions (e.g. boat transfers or falls trekking). So yeah.. for a cam that's less than 2k pesos, this is already a good deal 😸 hope my additional feedback helps!! And yes, I'm also planning to review the vintage cam I got but the current lockdown situation ain't helping so I couldn't go out to shoot 🥺

    Hello po! I just bought a new reto 35mm film camera. My question is it ok to not use all the film after taking 5 photos and just take other photos next time? Or kung nasa loob na ung film kelangan ubusin lahat in one day?

    • @rinatriesstuff
      @rinatriesstuff  Před rokem +1

      Yup need to consume everything before replacing the film or your film will be exposed to light na 🥲 hope this helps!

      Aww thank you for replying. But I can keep the film inside the camera right? It wouldnt expose the pictures right? Like for example today I took 5 pictures and after 1 week I use it again.

      I actually have both M35 and M38 🤭 there's no much difference as when I developed both photos, they just look similar. It's good that they are reviving the film industry again and that they are selling film cameras again, but if you have access to working vintage old cameras, I think any of them could easily beat both M35 and M38. I actually recently bought one (for only 70 USD vs M38 at 30 USD) and I'm still testing it but so far, I'm loving the look and feel of old vintage cameras 😊 I will post my final review maybe next month! Hope this helps 😃
