Boombox sound difference is not so big it maybe has a VERY little deeper bass and it goes a little louder but the xtreme is pretty nice aswell. Think about what you want to do with them if u want to take it everywhere take the xtreme.

So I didn't get to listen to either speaker, and based my decision solely on this video. I ended going with the extreme 2 (because it was on sale, and most importantly I have 4x jbl flips to pair). After using it for only one song, I was definitely satisfied with my purchase and happy I made the right decision. Thanks!!

The fact that there’s is not even these basic options on this app is just ridiculous in 2020. I’m so sooo disappointed about this. I just have to content myself with the initial sound... so disappointing

you should judge how loud they are by where you’d get in trouble for playing it max volume, starting with a library, then an apartment complex, then a townhouse, etc.
Those with Jbl Partyboost feature will connect only to other Jbl Partyboost speakers and those with Jbl Connect Plus speakers connect only to other Jbl Connect Plus speakers. Xtreme 1’s feature is ‘Connect’ and Original Boombox’s feature is ‘Connect+’. I don’t think they can connect. I haven’t tried though.

No. Xtreme 2 has Connect+, whereas the BoomBox 2 has PartyBoost. The original BoomBox has Connect+, so it'll connect with the Xtreme 2.
