I never realized it, but most of the songs I always loved by Fleetwood Mac were written by Christine McVie. She was such a great song writer who knew how to pen some catchy songs. There aren't many artists that can do that. Her voice was unique and her beauty was a quiet beauty( beautiful eyes) that it seems she let Stevie Nicks get more recognition for. What a talent McVie was and isn't fully appreciated until she is now gone.
She didn't changed alot keeped it the same all the way thru she never aged a day looked always similar she got to 79 over the years maybe it was her routine beauty was there the lifestyle health diet whatever it worked for her amazing like Stevie never had Kids may have helped also she couldn't find the rite guy tho she married John that stress she looked the same would of helped aswell then she stopped for awhile didn't like flying or was sick of it doing all that she was doing for years the constant touring all over the World they did so many hotels luggage builds up that's how perfect Christine Perfect tooked and looked lived a brilliant respected life

It's an interesting technique used by Lindsey Buckingham - double tracking of Lindsey and Christine during the verses and triple tracking of Lindsey, Christine and Stevie during the chorus. They are singing the same lines at the same time.

Who’s idea was it to have Stevie clomp around in the desert in a long dress and boots on a song she probably didn’t sing on?
She sang on the song, silly. She sang the back up vocals, just like Lindsay and Christine did on Stevie songs. As far as clapping around in the desert, that was Stevie’s look back then. Ain’t nobody was going to stop her. You don’t sound like a Stevie fan.

I had a little trouble making a comment when Peter Green passed away. There were a lot of people dedicated to their original blues style. I never really liked it. Sure Pete was a good songwriter, but, to me, the "pop version" of Mac was better sounding. Did you ever hear that Buckingham/Nicks album (1973)?? It is interesting.

Fleetwood Mac is definitely a one of a kind band. Their change in sound in their songs is truly amazing, it's like a new adventure in every track. Mirage is a flawless album I'm surprised it only sold 5 million copies. It's one of their best albums IMO.

Man, I'll miss her, and the music she created and was a part of. Every time one of these 70's / 80's artist dies a part of me goes with them. She will be missed, but not forgotten.
This group's diversity is what separates them from all the one trick ponies out there. Some musicians just get it. Their music just flows. This is one of them.

Still listening in 2022! This is one of my all-time favorite groups; I was just a kid when this came out but my Mom turned me onto Fleetwood Mac and a host of other musical greats; every time I hear one of those songs from that era, it takes me all the way back to a time when things really were simpler and people seemed kinder. Now, we live in a relatively constant state of fear so I can't help but think times were better back then.
