been listening to Mac since 2017.. I’ve heard My Kind Of Woman for the first time.. I hated it at first, but it stuck to me listening to it more and more.. there isn’t really quite like him
I have to admit that I discovered him like last year when I was 16, so I’m kind off a kiddie and I also only heard his most famous songs back then. But I’m just so obsessed with his music recently, like in every song there are some tunes or lyrics to vibe and sing along to.
I like that Mac still rocks the 5-panel hat, the classic vans, the double front pants, the tied hoodie strings. He started that trend back in like 2014 so it’s nice to see him staying true to it even after the copycats have moved on. He’s a real dude and he always was.
@@mattmcnickNah Mac’s style was obviously influential. He wasn’t the first person to ever wear those things, but he definitely made them trend. You’re talking about subculture I’m talking the mainstream. People who don’t give a shit about board sports were dressing like this because of Mac.

I really love the fact that Mac is taking a break from songwriting/producing. I’m more of a hobbiest weekend warrior typa guy but you definitely need to take a break from writing songs to load up the experience bank

didnt expect to relate so much to some comments on yt. I always beat myself up when I go through periods where im not drawn to creating music for some time, but every time it happens it doesn't take long for me to get all jazzed up about it again randomly. Creating is definitely an act from the heart, so its good to be aware of the fact that you don't need to force yourself to make stuff when you arent feeling it in the moment

I once met this man when I was a teenager in Bangkok airport of all places. Mac was eating a pizza he’d bought with a couple of his associates/friends as I walked into the restaurant. Took me around 3 seconds as we locked eyes before realising who he was as he winked at me. Froze in total disbelief. I suppose that the wink was something of his invitation to approach, and as I did my mind was racing with a whirlwind of thoughts on what to say. The glib conversation must have lasted around 3 minutes or so but it seemed like hours as I churned out words of admiration, without trying to seem overly zealous. Ended up with him offering for a photo - totally cool guy. Afterwards I sat down with our backs oppositely facing, trying not to disturb him anymore before he left around 20 mins thereafter. Mac, I’m still a fan and thank you!

such a great chat to listen to. Really like hearing his perspective on things and love watching the music and attitude evolve over the years. Inspirational stuff. Plus, loved how chill this setting and atmosphere was and and an excellent job on the interviewers part!
I love his personality, he is just so much fun to watch in interviews, this music video really shows that side of him, I saw him live a few summers ago with my music producer friend, honestly one of the best performances I've seen, a no bull shit show, he told the P.A guys to stop the light show and just turn up all the lights so he could see the crowd, rare for a musician to do, I wanna throw my friend some love as we've been through a lot together he's heavily influenced by Mac, try searching Lonely Gimmick - Grumpy Days ,you may be in for a surprise and he would love to hear your opinion
One Wayne G is my most listened to album since it came out. There's so many amazing tracks in there. I really love when he does more ambient stuff. Really sounds like he liked to listen to Brian Eno in some tracks on there.
I just really love it. I hope he does more like that in the future, especially since he said that he scrapped a lot of material for OWG.

It's pretty rad if Mac has been able to stick to no cigs. I've known and beaten many addictions, including nicotine... But somehow that's the single chemical I can quit without any withdrawal. So I've quit 100 times and just keep coming back haha... It gets it's claws into you either way!
