Perfect video! I was certainly impatient on my first couple of attempts, but I have learned so much since! I will very likely give them a makeover at some point and I agree that this should be fun, not stressful. Great tips!
+The Pullip Doll Club Some of these tips seem so corny and obvious but i am constantly telling myself to SLOW DOWN. Hahah. :)
I am late to this video. But today I customised my first doll ever and I wish I had seen this video before I started on her. I am happy with how she looks atm but.. I know I can do better. I feel like I can try again now without feeling guilty about it.
Thank you
I really loved this video :) I'm not an artist myself but I really want to explore my creative side so this was really a nice breath of fresh air. Thanks Angie!
Oh, thank you so much for this video! I've been mucking around with a MIO kit and getting frustrated with my efforts - why isn't it perfect! "Why am I so bad at this!" "Why doesn't she look as pretty as this doll made by a professional artist with years of experience!" So these tips are exactly what I needed to hear. Especially to plan ahead! That's my biggest mistake, haha. Thank you again!
+dayastrid You are welcome. It is easy to get frustrated, but it's supposed to be fun! We have to stop comparing ourselves to the professionals. :)
This was really helpful!!! I was hoping for a video like this one 🙂 I believe that I am ready for my first custom Pullip!!! 💜
Thanks for your great tips. I love the dolls you made. I'm thinking of trying a kit myself. It looks like such fun.
Your customs with the light blue dress, the plush, and the dark brown hair are adorable. I'm glad it's not hard starting over. I just got a mocha MIO kit and I've been afraid I'll mess up (bad with a paint brush) but still anxious to try.
+back2s0ul Don't be afraid!! You have to just jump in and not compare yourself to anyone else. It's so much fun!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I loved it!
+Seanora Lopes You are welcome! I have a customized one coming too, just for you!
Thanks for making this helpful review! I recently lost one of my MIo Pullip's eyelids but I'm gonna try to finish it after seeing your experimenting with custom dolls.
Thank you for the tips! I am gonna buy a Make it own kit soon (well when they are gonna get back on stock 😅) Your dolls are all so pretty. 😄
I love your channel! Keep up the good work;}
Thank you for referencing Lolita fashion in this video, I am a huge fan, I love your videos! THANK YOU FOR MAKING VIDEOS!
I love all your dolls! I can't wait to try doing a custom myself, maybe of my personal characters! I'm good at drawing, but I never painted on something other than paper xD your tips are all very useful and you're so nice as always!
Great job because of your videos I'm going to give it a try, I have painted two reborns so I think this would be easier lol... 😜😀
Great tips. Thank u!
I love Pris! What a cool idea for a doll! I liked really her character in Blade Runner.
+Annie Johnson I date myself but she holds a special place to me. Plus I love scif-i!
woww u have so many MIO custom... IKR i almost give up especially the eye lashes and the lips.. but seriously things never get batter in rush.. just do it slowly and come back again.. love ur beautiful dollies.. keep it up...
I also think that if you're feeling nervous about painting your Pullip, it might help to practice faceups on some less expensive dolls. (like monster high)
Your custom MIOs are quite lovely, Angie! You may not be a "pro", but you certainly have a natural ability and a terrific eye. Two skills that not even many professionals possess.Your fair-skinned brunette (5:30) is absolutely beautiful. I love the wig, the hair style, the pretty blue ribbons, the sweet pink dress, and cute blue shoes. Everything about her is just wonderful! I'm also fond of Violet. Her wig is awesome! She reminds me of Celsiy - but better. ^_^ Many thanks for sharing your tips for customizing, and for sharing your collection of personal custom Pullips. If possible, the next time you acquire a MIO to customize yourself, it would be such a treat if you did a video tutorial of the process! Thank you so very much! Cheers!
+dca01 Thank you for the encouragement! I keep trying and over time I see how I improve. It's all about having fun i believe!
you are just so good at this !! I am jellyy
+Omocha Crush
thanks I recently started writing comments and I didn't expect to have a reply! !! Thank you for replying!!
I agree wholeheartedly about taking a break. Sometimes it's too stressful and your lines are of and not sure about colors... you have 2 options. Jump in with both feet! Or put it down and step away. Neither option is wrong. PS I LOVE your flower girl, Violet! Don't sell yourself short! Your work is beautiful. One question I have is how do you remove the faceup if you want to try again?
+amphibian27 Thank you so much!! I use acetone-free nail polish remover and keep a piece of sand paper ready to smooth and buff.
Thank you so much for the video! I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the outfit for the doll with blonde/pink hair holding the bunny plush. I was wondering if you could also tell me the name of the doll and if you can make a video on that doll please it's beautiful
Love them all! I really like the Blonde one with the blue dress! :3 Super cute.
Btw where do you get most of your outfits?
And do you save money by making your own custom doll rather than buying them all made?
+Terry L (Ruby) I usually get my clothes on Etsy by searching for "Pullip Clothes." I don't think you save much money making your own dolls, but the best part is that you can pace yourself based on your budget. We are very patient in this hobby, and perhaps you may create the doll but wait for the wig and the clothes. It's a great way to get in the hobby and not break the bank all at once!
I've wanted to color my miokit pullip doll dark Grey, what should I use?
Where can i get the best pullip wigs, my pullips hair is really frizzy so i wanted to get a new one. I can't find a website to get a long wig. Do you know a place to buy the best pullip wigs?
esas pullips son especiales ☺💜
Do you ever do streams? I love your vids - I'm still new to dolls but I find your videos so interesting and calming.
+Bug Oh I wish but I am the least tech-savvy person ever! Someone on Facebook did a live stream and I was like, "Um, what is that??" That is so lame! I am sure I'll get there. :) Thanks for the encouragement.
You made a Pullip based on Pris from Blade Runner? Awesome!
+Yaoi Pervette Thank you! She was my very first make it own doll and I had so much fun with her. That movie is awesome!
what would you use to remove what work you did if you want to try and repaint a part? ive been eyeing up a tan MIO for a but ( waiting for dark color :3 ) im scared to damage her face by trying to remove something ive already painted on. what do you use/how do you use it to create your dolls face-up?
+Octivia Windfree I use acetone-free nail polish remover. Always check the label! :)
You are so awsome
There awesome
At 3:52 I like the one on the far right.
Hi, your dolls are amazing !
Can you please tell me the wig of the dolls with blue with black cats dress come from ?
Sorry for my bad english but I am french :)
+Agnès Garcia I am sorry but it was a gift! I am not certain where it came from but it is very cute. :) I love kitties!

I don't know if you addressed this in the video, but how do you start over? Like how do you wipe the slate clean?

O and are there any dolls who are darker. Like me.
WHY ISNT THERE A BLACK DOLL OMG
A lot of people ask the same question! I am hoping Groove comes out with darker skin tones.
Freja Vev There is a new skin called mocha you can now purchase the doll blank to customize @ pullipstlye.com.
By far my favourite video. You can see you enjoy doing them, and you are making them your very own.
+Skye Bluebell How kind of you to say that!! Thank you so much for the support. I love my girls!
