  • With the new engine & rolling stock shop being added to the game decided to have a k4 being restored.
Built between 1914- 1925, a total of 425 were built. 350 were built of PRRs own Juniata Shops & 75 from Baldwin. A 4-6-2 type with 89 in (2,032 mm) drivers, & a length of 83 ft 6 in (25.45 m) while weighing 304,500 Ib (138,100 kg). The fuel for these engines was coal. The top speed was 87 mph (140 km/h), & a tractive effort of 44,460 Ibf (197.8 kN). The k4s were retired between 1949- 1958 with only 2 being saved. Both you can see with 1361 being restored to operational condition in Altoona, Pa, & her sister 3750 in Strasburg, Pa at the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum which is across the street from the railroad. The k4 is also Pennsylvanias state engine.
