    Passed my national registry skills testing last night and I just want to say these videos helped a lot. Even though I was taught all the skills in class, seeing someone actually go through the skill as if they were being tested helped me understand the skills so much more. Thank you for these great videos

    with a triangle bandage, you have the ability to widen the swathe instead of it being just 2 inches, just unfolding it once will make the swathe so much more secure

      EMTprep I'm from Florida and finishing paramedic school with practical testing. These ha e really helped me just want to thanks. It seems as if here you are either a emt-b or a paramedic. My question is I see many ppl doing emt-i or advanced what's the difference?

    Was I the only one who caught the swathe's knot on wrong side of injury?I was taught to keep it away from injury & padding for comfort

    • @Emtprep
      @Emtprep  Před 7 lety +15

      Adding padding for comfort is an awesome idea. Keeping the knot on one side or the other is not a critical fail nor is it something that will truly make much difference. As long as it is tight and not causing any further discomfort, it should work fine on either side.

    Does anyone outside of a volley squad or maybe Ski patrol actually use this in field? I worked at a Level 1 Trauma center in one of the busiest EMS cities in the nation and used this exact method 1 time on a child.

      An uncanny lack of imagination. Could it be an adult chasing their kid on a playground, tripping and taking a bad fall? Perhaps.
