Ooooh, I am excited for this movie!!!! I like what I’m seeing so far. I like getting a feel of the characters & who they are. This definitely cemented me being team Patrick.
I wonder if they also used makeup to age up the characters since they used hair to show the passage of time.
That closeup of her face is the most immersive I've seen her in a role, physical acting is her strength.

I thought it was just her facial acting. It's probably the best part of her performances that I noticed, particularly in Dune and Euphoria. If she was able to make that look without editing, that's crazy haha.

To me, she plays the same character over and over and doesn’t have much range. She plays moody, angsty and angry characters because it is easy. She could do more but chooses not to.

Sorry. She can’t act in this type of role yet. It’s forced. The guy on the other hand is surprisingly interesting and good.

I 100% think Hollywood will give token awards to someone like her to be like “How can we be racist? We gave a woc like Zendaya Emmys”. She wasn’t expected to win at all in 2020 yet she won an Emmy during the summer of BLM when there was a demand for diversity in all industries. at least in 2022, there was an expectation of her to win. But that wasn’t the case in 2020. So yes it was a token award.
Zendaya cannot act!
Watched the movie in theater. The movie itself is 7.5 but Zendaya's performance is one of the worsts I have seen in a while. It was just HERSELF like all the roles she has played. Facial expression, body language, everything... The other 2 leads are way better than her. Hope they get better roles in the future.
MGM should've scrapped this. Zendaya is just not a draw to theaters. It's struggling to make back it's budget domestically. Awful marketing as well.
